Have you tried the memory mode option in the style preferences menu? I understand you want the accord to hold and also sound without the bass (of the style) sound; In that case u can uncheck the Bass and lower backing option in the 'Style setup' tab. Hope this helps

Go to menu Style Preferences and choose the lower line Memory Mode.
You have 3 possible choices, for what you want take Fixerd Arr.+ Lower.
Wright it into memory.
Now you can put it on or off with the button "memory"
Good luck!

What one? Keyboard or Piano?

That would depend on what you want to use it for. Assuming you mean a real piano, it's not portable, it can't be used with headphones for silent practice, and it will need periodic tuning and general maintenence. However, no electronic device is actually going to sound like a real piano, and no action feels the same as a real piano. Keyboards, on the other hand, can be played in different locations, have a larger variety of sounds, and are cheaper to maintain. As a pro musician, I own both. Actually a number of different keyboards, but only one piano

I have just purchased a second hand iDM02 drum set (no instructions) but can't get any sound from it. Tried playing the demo but still no sound. I'm not a techy, any ideas please?

Ensure headphones are connected to the correct socket and adjust volume accordingly. If this still doesn't work, you have a faulty item

I have a digital piano and the sound is distorted when playing notes on the left hand (.i.e notes lower than the middle c)side of the keyboard note?

Sounds like either there is a problem with a low frequency driver or perhaps an eq setting.
If you have an external (line) output, you can try sending the signl through another amp. If you have headphones, then try them also. If the headphones sound distorted as well, then see if you have the eq to high on the bass.
Other than that, it could be a filter capacitor in the power supply. You would need some experience fixing that.

The lower keys wont work without harmonization

Sounds like you have the accompaniment function selected. Find the button on the front panel and deselect it and you will get full control back

My Yamaha psr-500 wont turn on. When I push the on button the speakers make a popping sound and when I hold the on button down I get static through the speakers along with 3 notes one after the other

Is this on mains or battery? This keyboard must be nearly 20 years old, it's done well! If you have batteries in but are using mains power, the power adaptor could have failed and not enough juice left in batteries to work. Try new batteries and try without any.

Hello my Korg X5D on switching on shows 00:Initcombi0 on top display and "battery low" blinks on lower display, Keys from 33-40 are malfunctioning ( giving odd sound) other keys are working...

There's a watch type battery (flat disc) on one of the boards inside the X5D. This maintains the settings while the keyboard is switched off and could be the whole problem.
The keys are on two different circuit boards connected with a multi-pin cable. If the cable were dislodged I would expect it to simply cut off half the keys but it's probably worth checking.

I have a new kaoss kp and when I put headphones in there is no sound. I dont have a cable to plug it in to the computor. Is there something I have to do to the settings or is it simply not working? Cheers

The Mini KP is an effect processor primarily. Sound passes in and through either with or without processing and effecting. Due to this fact you must have an incoming signal to process, or you wont hear anything. However there are a few settings that act more like a synth and tone generator. To initiate an effect you must touch the pad and hold contact. There is a hold button on the lower left side facing down. If you hit this button while an effect is being created, then you can let go without the effect stopping. You can adjust the effect in real time as well. Out of the 99 presets if you have tried them all with absolutely no sound output, then the problem is physical and will need a repair man/woman.

A few of the flat key get stuck on the right hand. On the lower left a few the sound are loud no matter how soft you try a play. Can this be fixed?

I am sure it can be fixed. Who knows what brand or type of instrument this is...

The stuck keys are probably mechanical sticking. The loud keys are probably dirty key contacts that sense velocity.

Take unit in for servicing.

Fender Jazz Bass E string saddle vibrates down

Hi Mike,

If the sound is like a string vibrating against something, ensure that is not strings (usually G) vibrating against the bridge.

Ensure that the two screw on the saddle are well in place.

Ensure also that the vibration is not coming from a string vibrating against the frets, in that case you can fix the problem by adjusting the action and rectifying the bow of the neck.

In either case, if the sadde and neck bow are cause of vibration, try tweaking the saddles a little, and lowering the position of the saddle a bit downward. Try also to rectify the neck. turning the apposite screw.
