Hotmail wont open my emails

Hotmail is a free email service that is provided by the Microsoft Internet network.
It can be frustrating when you have trouble logging into your Hotmail account.
However, there are some troubleshooting steps you can take to help solve common issues with the Hotmail web service.
These steps are easy to follow and do not require any technical knowledge.

Make sure you are using the most up-to-date browser.
The Hotmail web interface is designed to work with the most recent iterations of the Internet
Explorer and Firefox browsers.
If you are using an old or unsupported browser, try updating (or downloading) the newest Internet Explorer or Firefox browser.
See Below for links to the most up-to-date browsers.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html?from=getfirefox
Make sure your temporary files cache is cleared.
If Hotmail has updated its system recently and you have old temporary files in your system memory, they can cause critical errors.
Create Menu tab right click in the top of screen (toolbar) you will see a number of toolbar options select the menu bar
This will add to your screen toolbar File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help
Go to your browser's "Tools" menu and select "Options."
From the pop-up menu select the temporary cache files, then use the "Clear" or "Delete" function. Then restart your browser and try again.
Download the Microsoft XP patch.
If you are using the Windows XP operating system and are still experiencing issues with the Hotmail interface, there is a patch you can download to solve known issues between Windows XP and Hotmail.

My Gateway 504 GR won't play WSOP or most Reel Slot games. How can i play newer games on my pc? 2002 version Windows XP Home, 915 chipset, Intel proc. 4 cpu 3.00GHZ 512mb 3000mhz. Thanks

Hello there,
The image below indicates the minimum and recommended system requirements of WSOP most probably you will be able to play the game. The problem might be your Adobe Flash Player or your Internet Explorer version. If your Windows Xp Home is genuine you might consider updating or download a Mozilla Firefox.
The links for Adobe and Firefox are located below the image.
pcsyke_98.jpg

Flash Player
Mozilla Browser
From what I know Windows XP by default have an Internet Explorer v.6.0 that is why you need to update your Windows. by the way you have to download Flash player if you have Internet Explorer v.7. if this does not work try the step below
1. Download the Mozilla Firefox browser and install setup 5.0.1exe. 2. Download Flash Player it will automatically update your Flash.

Hopefully this information helps.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Hi I am Farah, and as I wanted to download java , it came thet" " is not valid win 32 application'. What shoudl I do? Thx

It is possible that you are attempting to install a 64-bit version of Java when you have a 32-bit operating system. Check your operating and confirm this. In Vista you can find this using Start > Control Panel > System. This is similar if you have Windows 7. Here is what it looks like:

pcjanitor.jpg
If after that you, you follow these instructions from Sun (Java) to locate and install the 32-bit version.

Error: x64.exe not a valid Win32 application This article applies to:
  • Platform(s): Windows 7, Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003
  • Browser(s): Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla 1.4+
  • Java version(s): 6.0
SYMPTOMS

While trying to install Java a user gets an error message similar to:
' ... x64.exe not a valid Win32 application'

CAUSE

The error message is a result of trying to install a 64-bit version of Java on a 32-bit operating system.
SOLUTION

User needs to install a 32-bit version of Java software, since a 64-bit version is not compatible with their 32-bit operating system.

Follow these steps to download 32-bit Java
  1. Go to Manual download
  2. Click Windows XP/Vista/2000/2003/2008 Online.
  3. The File Download dialog box appears.
  4. Choose the folder location.
  5. (Save the file to a known location on your computer, for example, to your desktop).
  6. Click Save.
  7. Close all applications including the browser.
  8. Double-click on the saved file icon to start the installation process.

I cannot send out e mail on my yahoo account with facebook its okay

Like what they've asked if you are using an email client like Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Windows Mail etc. If you are not using any mail client I presume you are using an internet browser. Are you using Internet explorer 6, 7 or 8? or you are using Firefox? I'll just mention the mostly used browser.

You can try these steps I provided if you are using any of the browser I provided below. Note: This will remove all the things stored in your web browser.

Optimizing IE 6
http://www.pc-washer.com/optimize-windows/optimize-ie6.php

Optimizing IE7 and 8
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936213

Optimizing Firefox 3.5.5 up
1. Open Firefox
2. Click Tools
3. Click Clear Recent History
4. On the drop down menu choose "Everything"
5. Press ok then restart firefox

I hope this helped you.

Windows XP SP3 IE v7.0

When you say download do you mean any file you try to download? Have you tried using another browser such as firefox? If you do not have firefox installed I assume you cannot download it to try. If this is the case I would suggest going to a friend or family members computer & downloading it to a thumbdrive or cd then take it home & install it. If you can download from firefox. Then I would uninstall IE V 7 from add remove programs & then re install it. I'm assuming you have tried the usual things like restarting your computer

Can't connect to http://192.168.0.1 or .100 How do I get connected so I can configure the security settings on my D-Link wireless router - WBR-1310?

Okay, first what is the operating system you are using? Examples:

Windows 98
Windows 2000
Windows ME
Windows XP
Windows Vista
OS X (Apple)
etc

The basics are as follows.
1)Make sure that the computer you are using to access the D-Link is connected to it via an ethernet cable.
2)Power on both the computer and the D-Link device
3)After everything is booted up all the way, open up a browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc).
4)In the address bar at the top type in the IP address of the router which by default is 192.168.0.1.
5)This should bring you to a log in page asking for a username and password. The username is Admin and the password area you leave blank.

Here is a link to D-Link support about this:

Theme of xp and vista operating system

To download themes for XP and vista, you'll need a few things.

Firefox Web Browser - http://getfirefox.com/
Greasemonkey Firefox Addon - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748
ThemeXP.org Link Rewriter - http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/5150
UXTheme.dll Patcher - http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140707
WinRAR - http://rarsoft.com/

Install them in that order. Once they're installed (you probably want to restart), visit http://themexp.org and download a visual style (theme). Extract it to c:\windows\resources\themes and it should show up when you right click on the desktop and go to properties.

StyleXP helps this process a bit (you won't need to install WinRAR or the UXTheme patcher). It does, however, cost money.
