Re: windows xp opens and closes right away
Hi! i can understand your problem. It happened to me once. I tried to run the PC in the safe mode but on safe mode it doesn't run the antivirus program. If you have your harddisk of IDE type then connect your friend's hard disk in your PC as a Slave and Yours as a master.
You can do this from your bios setup.
Then Scan his hard disk by your antivirus software and remove all the virus from his Harddisk.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

The easiest way, open your CD drive and with that open shut down your computer. Insert the Disk in the drive and close it then restart the computer. The installation program should start auto automatically as windows starts. The reason I said to shut down then reboot with the disk in the drive is to allow the program to scan your system before windows starts to speed up the install process. If you insert the Disk and close the drive while the computer is on it will auto start and scan the system anyway but it takes longer. Make sure you stop and uninstall any other anti virus programs or Anti Adware programs, such as Spy Bot, you may have running, the Adware programs only need to be closed.
To uninstall Spy Sweeper :: let Microsoft Windows uninstall the software automatically.
1.clicking on the Start Button
2. Select Control Panel
3. Select Add and Remove Programs.
Occasionally this method will not work, and produce an error about not being able to uninstall the software. If this happens right click on the Spy Sweeper icon on the right hand side of the toolbar where the clock is located and select exit This will shut down the Spy Sweeper program. Next press ctrl + alt + delete which will open the Task Manager. Click on the Processes tab. Search for spysweeper.exe. If this process is running click on it then select end process. Repeat this step to search for and close the process WRSSSDK.exe. After this is done Spy Sweeper should be able to be removed by using Add/Remove Programs
To get into the Windows XP Safe mode, as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu" as shown below. Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode with Networking" and press your Enter key.
Note: With some computers if you press and hold a key as the computer is booting you will get a stuck key message. If this occurs, instead of pressing and holding the "F8 key", tap the "F8 key" continuously until you get the startup menu.
I would suggest NOD32 or try the link below.
Kaspersky Free Online Antivirus (Note: It may take a while to install and update itself but its worth it)
Hi, have you run a virus scan lately?
If you sure your system is clean then I would reccomend you run the XP repair console.
You do this by reloading XP from your CD and at the SECOND PROMPT select repair, this will allow you to reload XP and save your current settings, this will repair any corrupt files and install any missing ones.
You will have to re-activate with Microsoft.
