got ready to make coffee and just stopped working, no time, no clock, nothing is working I bought the coffeemaker less than a year ago.

I brewed clean water through it to rinse it out, emptied that water, then prepared it to make coffe & it wouldn't turn on. It's been unplugged for 7 hours, tried different outlets & it still doesnt work. I'm very sad!

This morning, the coffee brewed and finished. Then out of the blue, the power light and clock went black and it's now dead. I checked the cord, the outlet and other appliances in the same outlet. I think it is just DEAD!!! Any suggestions?

Just got this DCC-1400 12-cup in December 2008. Used it daily since late December. Today, it is not getting power. I had it unplugged for a while & replugged it in. Still nothing. I moved it to another wall and it's not getting power - no led, no lights, and no brewing. It's full of water so now I'll have to dump it out. This is the most expensive coffemaker I have ever had. The cheaper ones have lasted me for many years! Cranky without my coffee today! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

I used the answer from soymuyflaca..worked great..
The piece sticking out on the bottom is a failsafe switch, so that if the coffee maker falls the electricity shuts off..just pressing it worked for me

I am finally brewing coffee now. I had no LED lights on or anything. I lifted the bottom up from the rear. There is a plastic piece on the bottom that sticks out a little. My thumb was over the part where the cord comes out and my fingers just pushed up on the bottom of the unit. I heard something click and the LED light is working now. I will still hear a click after doing it a 2nd or 3rd time so this may be a temporary fix. Maybe the bottom cover needs to be tightened?

Did the curcuit trip? If you plug something else in, does power go that plug?

Woke up this morning and the coffeemaker did not auto brew. Now it won't brew at all. Dead? Nothing happening.

For starters, try plugging something else into that outlet, like a hair blow dryer to make sure your circuit breaker didn't kick off for some reason.

If you have power there plug your coffee maker in again and see. if it works, great. If not, you are probably going to be money ahead to just replace it as the cost of shipping and a repair won't be much less.

Of course if it is less than a year old you may have a warranty on it which would make it worth contacting Cuisinart Customer Service.

My DCC-2000 will not turn on. It worked for about an hour then the clock and everything shut off. I tried unplugging it for 10 minutes and plugged it back in but still nothing. Any advice?

Try this and let me know if it works - plug the coffeemaker in, turn the function knob to BREW, and then press all 3 buttons in the center of the coffeemaker (the 1-4 button, et, etc) and hold them for a few seconds. Let me know if the clock display comes back on.

My Cuisinart coffee maker won't program start time.

Reset the coffeemaker by unplugging it for 20 minutes or longer - don't skimp on the time left unplugged.

Then plug the coffeemaker back in, reset the normal clock. Remember: It will display PM if it is on PM, but nothing if it is on AM.

Then hit the Program button. Hold in the "Hours" button for a few seconds and set the time you want the coffeemaker to go off in the morning. Hold in the "Minutes" button for a few seconds and change the minutes. Then hit the Program button again.

Now turn your coffeemaker to AUTO-ON - it will now go off at the set time.

Its not making the coffee its just makes a little then stops

You both may have deeper issues, but it is definitely not too new to be decalcified. It is very much worth a shot. I have a Cusinart coffeemaker and a Cuisinart espresso maker, and both of them needed to be decalcified in the first month (of course, I live in an area with hard water).

No electric power when plugged in and turn on switch/cuisinart DC

tried ALL solutions on this & other blogs-even to point of CAREFULLY drilling out plastic to get bit-holder down to the 'MAGIC FASTENER' level and then trying: #10 TORX; ## 7-10 TORX; 'security TORX(with hole in middle) & several other 'secret bits'---ALL TO NO AVAIL !!!!! :0(
then, in SHEER DESPERATION, called Cuisinart @ 800-726-0190 [this is on SAT morning 0915 on 3/28/09] got VERY HELPFUL/KIND/PATIENT rep who was ready to do the " $10 +old one AND $10 for new one" routine, when she said: "Did you try re-plugging into wall socket after 1 hour? That's the re-set time" !!! while she was on the line (they work 'til 1730 EDT on SAT/SUN & 'til 1100 M-F !!!) wife tried this highly-technical/super-secret solution -and- IT #$%^*'ING WORKED !!!!!! ;0) I'm sitting here drinking coffee outta it and posting this solution.

Cuisinart Coffe Maker has no power

Cuisinart replaced the coffee maker. It was still under the 3 year warranty so Cuisinart told me to take it back to one of the stores that sells Cuisinart coffee makers because the store I bought it at was going out of business.

No power

The parts to repair a problem of this magnitude are generally not available. The DCC-2000 has a thre-year warranty. I would call Cuisinart and see if you can get an in-warranty replacement. I have a high opinion of cuisinart and their products, but this particular coffeemaker, I do not personally reccomend.

Cuisinart 12 Cup Digital Thermal Coffemaker

I called Cusinart support and they told me to fill with 2 cups of white vinegar and the rest water, let set for three hours. Did that. Had to keep hitting the on button to get this solution through. Then used a solution of one cup of vinegar and water and this ran through the whole cycle. Ran three more with just water and now it works just fine. Brewed coffee this morning with no problem. Didn't think this would work but seems to have solved the problem. They do suggest you decalcify once a month using the vinegar solution...hope I remember to do this as it would be a lot easier than having to get hitting the on button. Good luck!
