You can get the user manual for this unit from this link and then print it so you have a co[y.<br /><a href="http://www.casio.com/support/manuals/answeringmachines/ta160.pdf"><br />http://www.casio.com/support/manuals/answeringmachines/ta160.pdf</a><br /><br />
Sadly, I do not find this manual or guide available at any price. I suspect might be acquired only by finding it in in a box with the phone on some auction site.
It is not on the Casio site. Nor can the manual be found in Google, Yahoo , DuckDuckGo, Dogpile, Itsquick searches. Nor have I found it on several sites specializing in manuals. I have searched for it as Casio Phonemate, Casio Phonemate Gold, and searched for user manuals as images and found nothing but manuals for other Casio products. But perhaps your question will attract the attention of someone with such an item.
There's a little door at the top part of your phone which faces you. Open that door and you will see a series of buttons with a label for each one, including one for setting the greeting. Also, on the inside of that door itself is an explanation of how to set a greeting. As for erasing messages, look at the front of your phone, with that same little door closed. now look at the top row of buttons, the second button over is the erase/save button. Pressing down the left side of the erase/save button will erase your messages. Pressing down the right side of that button will save them.
The remote function will allow you to control your answering device from anywhere. On the Phonemate brand, you simply "key in" your answering machine's PIN number when your answering machine picks up your call. From there you can playback your messages, erase messages, record a different greeting and more. On some models the "default" PIN code is stamped on the bottom of the unit. Some units have a battery backup to retain messages if you have a power outage. If your PIN code IS printed there, and you have forgotten your PIN code, simply remove the battery from the bottom of the unit, wait a minute, and reinstall the battery. Your PIN code will be reset. I have attempted to get a manual for your unit and the best on the web so far has only come up with the address as follows Phonemate Answering Machine Sales & Service Center
