Wii and PC signals no longer reach TV

I have a Wii hooked up to my Samsung TV--it worked fine for a while, then after a period of disuse, I can no longer get the tv to pick up the signals of the Wii (or the PC). I'm using Aux 2 for these. Aux 1 picks up the VCR fine. I'm on Comcast.

There is no driver for the Wii.

I triple checked the wiring hook up to no avail.

The PC should come up on the PC setting, but doesn't. The Wii should appear on the AV2-but doesn't.

The old DVD player comes up on AV1, fine.

Last night I added a Blu Ray DVD player which comes up on HDMI 2 with no problem.

This answer was totally useless. I finally found an answer on my own without the assistance of FixYa.

I won't be using this service again.

My Wii console will turn on, but no signal is received at the TV. The console powers up, you can load and eject discs into it but nothing comes up on the TV. I tried switching TV's and it still didn't...

If you switched tvs and no help than that tells you that the cable that hooks the wii to the tv is probably bad try a new component video or rca cable whichever you are using

I hooked up my wii to my samsung tv and the tv does not find the input. I tried two different input areas on the back of the tv and no luck.

The remote should have a button labeled 'Input' or 'TV/AV' or something similar, this cycles the TV through each of its input modes (DVI, HDMI, RCA, Component, etc)...as you click to each one wait several seconds as the change over usually takes a couple seconds.

If this does not work verify cable attached properly. Im assuming that your Wii is working fine on another TV and so it not sending a video signal is not the issue?

Nintendo Wii works fine on standard tv but not on hdtv.

FOUND THE PROBLEM !!!!! The problem appears to be the Freeview somehow interfering with the Wii signal. When the aeriel lead is removed the Wii works fine, and the audio/visual signal is great. When the aeriel lead is in I have the problems. I hope this solution proves to be of use to anyone else having similar problems.

I had the same problem on a 32" rca crt. It worked fine, power was cut during electrical work and when it came back, "unusable signal." I went into the menu, then channel, then video input source. had to change it to the correct input "s-video in my case" Then it worked. GOOD LUCK!

Video is black and white

Are you using the same SCART socket that you use for your other consoles or a different one? My SCART3 input on my Panasonic telly has two different modes - one which displays in colour, and one which displays in a sort of grainy black n' white. There is a purpose to it but I can't remember what it is. :-)

Anyway, you switch between the two by pushing the AV button and then hitting the colour button which corresponds to SCART3 a few times 'til you reach the correct setting.

It probably isn't that, but... y'know. Sanity check.

Tune your tele and check you've got it on the right PAL/NTSC setting.

Hi, I just purchased a Samsung series 3 330 model#LN40A330 I'am having problems with the AV inputs on back of television. I hooked up a DVD player to Component 1 it works fine Then I hooked up Nintendo...

I figured it out,
The solution to my problem was to update my video cables for my new HDTV.
I found out through trial and error that I can only have one Anolog device hooked up to the TV because with two Anolog devices hooked up the same way it must confuse the TV somehow making one of the inputs showing up in Black and White, So I purchased the color coded AV jacks and everthing works like a charm now.
