You have two possibilities; either buy the original remote or look up the code for 'universal' remote for that set here:
If you can't find the code set for the remote & TV you have, look for a code set for one of the following brand names:
Funai, Symphonic, Sylvania, Emerson, Aventura, Durabrand,
ESA, Magnavox, INSIGNIA, Philipsand Misakai
If this is an original remote u should not need a code. You need to find out if the remote is transmitting a signal. If it is a universal remote use your manual to find correct code, use code search or go on internet & look up code.
I HAVE THE EXACT PROBLEM THAT I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON. THE WORK AROUND IS THAT I HAVE TO ACTRUALLY PUSH THE ON/OFF BUTTON ON THE TV, SO IT IS A SMALL THING, STILL I WANT TO LINK THE DTV analog converterbox remote made by NIHENS Digital located in Torrance California - to my Funai SV2000 TV. I will give them a call their tech support line at 866-706-4367. It is a long hold time. I hung up after 3.5v minutes wait. Their email is firstname.lastname@example.org
If they do not have the answer, then no one will.
Sometimes Magnavox tvs will have the name of another company on them on the back who made the tv such as funai or emerson and those codes will work for the magnavox tv
Please check and see if there is any such info on the back and if not, I will find every code that I can get but I also suggest you try getting it working without a code, the directions should be in the book for doing this but if not, let me know
