Question about Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One Printer

2 Answers

We are very unhappy with our Kodak 5100 printer. The most immediate problem is that it stopped printing. We tried changing the print cartridges, plugging and unplugging and still get only very faded partial images. Can you help? If not, please tell me. We will take it to the recycling center an buy an HP printer.

I went through the step by step solution process on kodak's website. it told me i had to replace the printhead. i basically typed in my address and they sent me a brand new print head (and threw in free cartridges and even some paper) in about 12 hours!!! (I couldn't believe it was actually it.) Some companies still get it and I will certainly purchase kodak again in my future (I loved the printer before that problem.)

It is because of the faulty or short tracked print head.better to buy a new hp printer rather than a kodak print head.hp printer is always a better choice

Kodak 5100 Needs Both Cartridges To Print?

Unfortunately, you cannot used the printer if one of the ink cartridge is empty., compare to the other printers you can print a black text or gray scale if the color is empty or one of the cartridge is empty.

All kodak printers work the same both cartridges should have ink on ink before you can use It.

Kodak 5100 AIO won't print after cartridge change

the red blinking light indicates that your printer wont recognize your ink carthridge. you can try to reseat the carthridge and the printhead. to remove the printhead just press on the release tab which is located on the upper left corner of the printhead wall. If this will not correct the issue, you need to call their technical support hotline. maybe the carthridge is faulty or there is a problem on the printhead. their hotline no is 1 800 421 6699

Kodak 5100 has stopped printing.

It is very frustrating if one of your product is not working but manufacturers such as Kodak does not want that to happen. As an experienced user of Kodak printer, I advise you to do the following:

Remove the cartridges, make sure that they are intact, not tampered.

1-800-421-6699.. That is the number for Kodak. They will replace your printhead for you. I've been dealing with this same thing. Along with replacing the printhead they are sending black and color ink. All Free! I'm really excited. The people are very friendly and helpful. They know what they're doing. BTW, the replacements should be here in 3-5 days.

Press copy and photo at the same time and print a demo sheet. Look at the eyes of the two kids in the picture, if they look like zombies, your printhead is clogged. try cleaning the printhead and print the demo again. If it's the same, you need a new printhead. Call Kodak.

I also have this same problem. What works to a degree is to take out print head and SOAK IN WARM WATER. This will take out most all the ink residue and debris. Then dry off and reinstlal immediately. This worked for me but a month later, NO BLACK!
