You have an lcd problem, you are best taking it to a phone repair store to fix it, sending it back to a nokia care centre for free/cheap repair cost (if its under warranty) or if its not under warranty then you can always attempt to repair it yourself.
If you opt to repair it yourself, lcd parts are available on ebay. Basically there isn't much difference between generic China made lcd screens and the original lcd screens.
Original lcd screens are way too expensive and can only be installed by Nokia Care centres, they cannot be bought. Even mobile phone repair stores will install generic lcd screen copies. The main thing is that you have a working lcd screen.
Did the phone get wet? It may be either your lcd screen or your logic board. I doubt it's a connection issue because it initally works fine. If Apple doesn't
replace it for you, you can find the lcd or logic board at iPhone
3GS Repair and there is a guide
that shows you how to put in the part at iPhone
Repair Guide.
1. You can DIY 2. You can have it repaired professionally.
If you attempt to complete the repair yourself you will need a T-6 screw driver and a 6103 LCD. Both items can be found on eBay. Search 6013 LCD and you will find them. The repair on this particular phone is not bad at all if willing to take on the risk. The most important thing to watch for is exposing the device to static electricity. This will kill the device. The potential problem with this is the issue can also be a slightly torn flex cable or a faulty LCD module which houses the LCD and connects to the flex cable. You can potentially purchase an LCD to find "that's not it".
You can pass the liability on to a repair center who stock these parts and provide a warranty. Standard repair warranties are 90 days depending on the type of repair request. If you are in the USA. My personal and professional recommendation for repair service is Cell Phone Technicians If in the UK see Mobile Phone Repairs
I hope I was able to provide some quick options for you.
If the inside screen and the outside screen is blank, the possible problem is the LCD flex cable. But if the outside sceen is on
but the large inside screen is blank. The large screen could be defective.
Seems you need a new Lcd assembly i can provide you with one very cheaply please contact me at [email protected] I can sen you a new Lcd or u can send me the phone for repair
apparently you damaged your flex cable that connects the main board to the lcd - hence your calls work , but nothing on screen - to repair it costs - $25-40
If your sidekick ID or Sidekick 3 screen is a blank white, then the lcd flex cable has come loose. It is a little difficult to repair but any one can do it. The worst that will happen if you try to repair yourself is that it will not work and you buy a replacement screen from ebay for 45 dollars.
Here are the detailed instructions. Just reinstall your lcd instead of putting a new one on.
