The car makers do not allow the public to have the books or the test equipment much less the parts if you manage to figure out what is wrong. The car makers do not allow the public to have the books or the test equipment much less the parts if you manage to figure out what is wrong.

Andrew, Ford Focus 2L tdci computer box, ECU's are repairable sometimes, if not normally no charge. You would have to google search for a repairer in your area, search Ford ECU repair/testing. As Ray G. suggested you could probably get one at a local auto wreckers, may have to be programmed or flashed to your vehicle by a good Tech. with proper equipment. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Ernie, first I need to know what year, make, model and engine size you have to answer this question properly. Please visit my auto-repair-website and send me this information then I can try to help you. Here's the site: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/
That all depends on the year model of your vehicle. For instance: Chrysler in 1998 began to use a 5 year coolant which is a pink color and through the years we learned that mixing other coolant's with this type coolant would cause jelling affect and clog up the system. So a word of caution: Contact the dealer and give them your VIN number and make sure before adding coolant just to be safe because its very costly if it jells. Hope this helps and please send people to my auto-repair-website at: http://www.bigasautorepair.com/
You can find someone that will lend you an OBDII scanner, and learn to use it as there may be an operation that says 'ERASE CODES' then proceed with the operation.
PLEASE NOTE: It is a FEDERAL LAW that the repair shops CAN NOT erase codes.
Or these codes lights usually, if the problem is fixed, will go out after 50 starts.
Some of the Box Auto stores Auto Zone, Advance, etc... have / will scan vehicles.
I know a place you might inquire from and get some advice. A company with a website and e-mail tech support. Was called auto computer wholesalers. They took in auto computers from auto salvagers all over, and repaired and tested them, then sold them on e-bay, among other places. I bought a good ecu for my '87 Sentra real cheap from them. If you get on the website and ask them, somebody might be able to give you some advice.
if you have replaced the pcm and you need a relearn then you will need to check either the owners manual or possible an auto repair shop might help. If you are just wishing to retrain the computer just undo the positive lead off the battery and wait 30min then reinstall and the computer will now learn with your driving habits
Well I can't really help with the timing specs but the points gap should be .019 (in.), but I always learned to use a match box to gap them and that works great too. Hope this helps.
hi there, needs to be the same number. computers need to match. tourque converters are different from 2.0/2.2 to the 2.5 engines. also shift points are different between models so needs to talk to the dash perfectly. hope this helps.
