Question about NetGear : WG111 54 Mbps Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter, RETAIL (DSNGWG111)
I have an unsecured wireless network but somehow i have put a filter on it not allowing another pc to use.
Go to your internet browser and type 192.168.2.1 into the address bar and press enter. (If it doesn't take you to the WIRELESS router's domain page, try 192.168.0.1)
Now click on Firewall (or similar in your router's domain page), and check the Mac Filtering and IP filtering settings. You shouldn't really have messed with these in the first place if you weren't sure what you were doing, but delete any entries there. If there aren't any entries, you can go into Utilities and Reset Factory Settings. That's the easiest way to get it back to a clean slate.
Make sure you let it completely reset, it'll tell you when you can connect to the internet. Don't touch anything while this is happening.
Then just exit from the browser and then re-enter the browser and everyone will be able to connect to the network wirelessly.
To protect it though, go back to the router's domain page and enable WEP or WPA encryption, setting a password for the encryption, and make sure you write it down somewhere!
Also, when others want to connect, they'll have to enter the username and password the first time they connect, but their laptops should remember the username and password for future connecting.
Hope this helps :)

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

At the bottom right hand corner of your screen, you have a wireless conenction icon. right click and view available wireless network...if you see your network there. connect to that network, if secured, then call netgear to verfiy what is your network key. if it is unsecure then you can log on right away.
