IF YOU HAVE AN OHM METER.UNPLUG UNIT.REMOVE TOP COVER AND CHECK IC604,605,606 AND IC607 PART NUMBER ON THESE ARE AEK7022. I THINK YOU WILL FIND ONE OF THOSE OPEN .IF ONE OF THESE ARE OPEN YOU WILL ALSO HAVE A DEFECTIVE OUTPUT AMP IC.IT WILL BE THE ONE THAT IS CLOSEST TO THE OPEN IC. PART NUMBER ON THE MAIN OUTPUT ICS ARE PAC011A

Amp error pioneer

Hi pat,

For pioneer Amp error:

It means that microprocessor has detected an abnormal DC voltage:

Speaker relay will be Off, then flash "AMP_ERR" on display.

If the AC plug is pulled off within 60 sec,

and then it is plugged in again, the unit will be reset for 60 sec.

The receiver sends a amp error message and then shuts down

Most likely needs one of the output ICs replaced, also check for bad ground connections on the input board.

Will not tune any radio station, fm or am. everything else works fine. May be damage resulting from lightning, through the antena input.

It is very possible the fm tuner pack is damaged from lighting,if you have voltage going to the fm tuner pack im sure your tuner is bad pioneer part number for your tuner is AXQ7231

Make sure the positive and negative match up between the receiver and all speakers. I had the same problem and 1 out of 5 speakers had the wires backwards.
