Question about Hobart 24 in. LXIH-3 Built-in Dishwasher
My Hobart displays a wrench and the P2 error code. Then last night it just over flowed all over my floor. I shut it down and turned it back on and it did the same thing on the first cycle.
I'm not a Hobart technician, but here what I founded in my manual for the LX30 error message:
LX18 / LX30 display shows E0, E2, E3 or E4
1. Low water pressure - check for clogged hose strainer; check that site water pressure meets minimum flow pressures.
2. Make sure probes are clean
3. No water pressure - main water supply valves may not be working
4. Drain valve open - turn machine OFF to drain machine, then ON. Repeat twice (this assists in clearing any drain valve obstructions). Wait for machine to reach READY mode and press WASH. Slowly open door several seconds later and note water level. Close door; 30 seconds later, open door slowly and check that water level is the same as it was. If not, repeat the OFF-ON procedure. If problem persists, call your local Hobart Service Office.
5. Delime machine.
Hope it will help you.

A P2 error code indicates Probe 2 issue. This is the Rinse Temp Probe which is located at the rear of machine near the Vac-Breaker Valve assy. Look for bad connector or wires, if nothing there then probe most likely has failed. However, Your problem with overflowing most likely comes from fouled up water-level probes. Located in bottom Rt rear of water trough, there are 2 probes, low & hi water sensing. These will get sludged up or coated with a thin, sometimes almost invisible coat of limescale. Wipe clean and scrape lightly with a jewellers screwdriver or similar to remove scale. This should solve issue. If error code continues then a faulty probe, wiring or controller issue exists and you would need to call in a professional to test circuit. Frank Commercial Equipment Repairs Nj.

We experienced the same problem. Eventually identified a split hose in the unit. Continuing to have the problem though.
