Question about Fuji FinePix F10 Digital Camera

What is wwrong and can I fix it?

I've had my camera for about 1.5 yrs and have never had any problems. All of a sudden, when I take a picture it get white line that look like an eye. This appears when I look at the picture in review. If I leave the camera on and take three or four more it seems to go away but if I turn it off...I start all over with the multiple lines.

Nothing there for you to repair This may be a ccd or processor issue so it is worth contacting Fuji technical help team, where perhaps replacements are on offer - you can only ask after all. Otherwise it is a repair or replacement situation.

CameraWindow won't open or will suddenly close before loading

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Save yourself the aggravation 03/25/2011 MommybrainX2 rating.png My hubby bought this for me for Christmas. It was to replace my OLD Cannon (4 MP). Now he feels horrible for buying it for me! This camera is horrible! I read the manual, I've played with all of the settings- the fact is when trying to take a picture of a moving object- even slightly- the picture comes out extremely blurry. Forget it with a toddler. I have yet to get one good picture of my kids with this camera, which was the whole purpose of having it. My old 4mg camera takes better pictures than this thing does. Settings haven't made a difference. I have actually reverted to my old camera instead of using this sad excuse for a camera.

The flash on my camera suddenly stopped working. Sometimes it flashes, sometimes it doesnt. Pictures look better when flash is OFF.

Hello. I also have the same problem as yours - about the flash not working so well. Have you ever gotten a solution to it? Oh, I also had the same camera, Kodak M531. Please tell me if you've already gotten a solution to it. Thank you.

Unclear, too bright picture

First try defaulting your camera to factory settings. Go to the Menu, select Reset, press the right arrow, use your up or down arrow to find Reset again, then press Set. Your manual can be found at

A640 freeezes while taking pictures

Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.
