Broken door hinge replacement on Hotpoint Ultima

get a new part and replace it
this is only broken as you do not wait for the door to unlock

Hi there,

First of all remove the door from the machine by unscrewing the screws on the hinge than remove clip at the top of door seal, when it unclips remove metal band, pull front of door seal off of front panel, Pick up metal bracket. Now with the hinge attached to door hold in place and place bracket behind the two holes fit screws and then fit the seal and clip.

E30 is a problem relating to the motor, check brushes, if o/k then could be faulty or broken tacho magnet on end of motor shaft, also check for broken wires in motor plug.

Code f03 means wash thermistor open circuit, this is normally part of the heating circuit, suggest you test heater and thermistos located in the end of the heater, and replace if necesscary. If heater o/k , then could be bad connection to control module, or broken wire, if still no joy, then call Hotpoint.

Get the model number off the unit and go to sears parts on line. Good luck

Remove any screws that you can see, and then prize the two halves apart

You should be able to access the back of the hinge via the top of the machine removed.
