Question about Compaq Presario Notebook
XP does not have the drivers needed for the SATA drives for the newer HP laptops. Either you need to "slipstream" the installation to contain the drivers using something like Nlite (free software) or you need to go into the BIOS and set it to HD compatibility mode. If you set it to compatibility mode, you should be able to install XP without any additional drivers
