"AMP" button on Sony RM-VL 900T stopped responding
The AMP button has stopped responding on my Sont RM-VL900T, most probably from overuse. Is there a way of re-activating it? I have taken the remote apart and cleaned whatever I can but has not resolved the problem. Your assistance will be appreciated. Ander Cool

Using the code search function: Press [S]. All Component Select buttons will flash. Press the button you want to configure. Press [CH+] or [CH-] and [POWER] in turn until the component turns on or off, then press [ENT] to save.
To reset all functions for a Component: Press and hold [S] until the green indicator lights. All Component Select buttons will flash. While holding [STOP], press the desired Component Select button.

To most Sony remote controls, P+ / P_ & Vol+ & Vol -- ; buttons will work, except for other buttons will work. The difference between the Sony remote controls you mentioned here too will differ to these function. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
As far as I can tell, Sony doesn't have any codes for Orion TVs. You can try searching through all of the codes in the remote. Turn on the TV, press and hold the Set button and then press the Power button. Release the buttons. Then press TV button (component button). Press the CH+ button followed by the Power button. Repeat the CH+ and Power combination until the TV responds (powers off, changes channel). Then press ENT. Check if the TV responds to the remote on other functions. If it doesn't repeat the steps from press and hold the Set button. This can take up to 70 tries.
