I am guessing the car still starts, this means the battery is fine. other than that you can try checking all of the connecting power cables, if nothing is burned out then i am afraid that it probably is the amp blown out

I don't have any power

Hello, could you be more specific like, what happend before you lost power to amp? Also do the basic tests like checking the main power wire and fuse from the battery to amp, check the ground going to amp and the remote wire. Now if all that checks out fine and the amp was working before or you were listening to it and problem occured then you might have a power supply problem in the amp. Do those checks first before anything else and let me know. It's important for me to know what happend prior to the loss of power.

AC spikes from your ac outlet causing a temporary overload condition in the power supply circuit. This is why you couldn't turn it off, you may want to get a digital surge protector.

DENON AVR 2308 no longer works only after 3 weeks of purchase!!!

You need to get more details. What component has failed that makes them believe that a surge caused the problem. There is usually a thermal fuse inside of the main power transformer that CAN be effected by power surges. WIthout more details, I really can't rpovide any ammunition for your claim. Please request exact details from the servicer.

Thanks,
Dan

Did your mechanic use a DRB III or equivalent scanner before performing the bleeding procedure after installing the master cylinder? This is a requirement by the manufacturer (Chrysler) when bleeding the brake system.

Power Surge at Home

This time it came in on the cable, the clue was the cable box also blew. So if you had a cable surge supression device...for HDTV, I think you would have survived the second surge.

I do have the technology. It is a F-connector type and will handle HDTV signal.

481 doesn't work

did that to mine. Bat went dead and went to jump the car. What happends is when you attach the jumper cables, it surges the power to the amp. This gets worse with caps. I would say you blew the relay in the amp and needs to be replaced. It is worth fixin but youll have to send it off or take it to a repair shop to have the new relay put in

Check your grounds, and all of your wiring. Does it just shut off or does it blink and go into protection mode?
