Resetting the maintenance code display: 1.Entering the Tech.Rep.Mode Procedure a) Press the Utility key. b)Touch Meter Count. c)Press the following keys in this order : Stop - 0 - 0 -Stop - 0 - 1. d)Select Tech.Rep.Mode. 2.Resetting the maintenance code: M2 Waste toner box Resetting procedure: a)Enter the Tech.Rep.mode. b)Select "Counter". c)Select "Consumables". d)Select the count of waste toner. e)Press the clear key. Set the copier into Tech. Rep. mode by pressing the following keys in this order : utilty meter count stop 0 stop 1 then from the menu select counter then select Maintenance select the conter then enter anew value from the 10-Key pad
The trouble is that Minolta did not provide a chart of error codes in the user manual; mostly error code issues would require a technician to repair anyway -- or at least somebody trained to do preventive maintenance. If you have a routine repairman, or if you have My Konica-Minolta access, you should be able to get more information that way. Other things to check:
Is a preventive maintenance due?
What was the unit doing before it threw the code? Was it making copies? Of what quality? Did it stop in the middle or finish a run?
Are you using good quality, dry paper? This was posted in December -- might you be having static problems due to dry air?
