My microsoft need a product key. what should i used?

Your product key is either on one of the disks you got from Microsoft to install Windows with, OR if Windows was installed on your computer when you bought it from a store, the product key is on the back or bottom of the PC. Laptops=bottom, desktop PCs= on back of tower. DO NOT try to use the key it tells you in a program called Keyfinder, as it gives you the wrong code totally! Look on your computer or the disks. It's a letter & number code 25 characters long such as xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx. Why does it need a key? Did you reformat or reinstall Windows?

How do I retrieve a program that was on the computer when I bought it? My computer crashed.

Just reinstall from the recovery disk, it will be reinstalled with Windows. If you no longer have the disk the you can download a new installer for your program directly from the site of the publisher.

Hi, my old laptop Toshiba Satellite A100 is

I take it that the recovery disc came with the laptop in which case all the drivers will be there.

I'm more concerned that it is "riddled with viruses and adwar" which you can't remove!

Why?

Do you not use an Anti virus program?

What's going to happen to your new computer?

I can't boot up coz of the white screen it gives

You will have to reinstall the OS, if you have the disks. Only hacking will help. There is no sane solution to passwords. Either supply the correct one or hack into it and the manage or re-install the OS.

Is the disk you have xp pro? If not, just do the xp home or whatever is on the disk. You may have to format your hard drive to clear it to accept the windows. Get plenty of advise before you do anything permanent like formating your hard drive. Get any factory disks that you can that will have your bios on them.

Black screen + mouse cursor, no access to explorer.

Windows needs to be reinstalled or repaired. Obtain a XP or Vista repair or installation disk (possibly borrow from a friend?) and run a repair installation. If you have another computer running windows you can make an installation disk from that computer.

ARCHIE Removal

It should have been taken off at time of purchase.
Go to Best Buy Geek Squad with your receipt proving you bought it and they'll remove it (it should be for free, otherwise complain cause you should be notified by the salesperson that you need it removed).
Only best buy can remove it with their disks, if you try uninstalling it it'll reinstall itself.

Microsoft Digital Image OEM

When you install the program, does it give you more than 1 install Option? Most programs will give you 3 install options depending on how much disc space you want to use for that program. Typical, Custom, Full. If you haven't done so, I recommend uninstalling, reinstalling using the FULL install or Custom so you can pick and choose which features aren't necessary for you to have. If this works, excellent, it it doesn't, I am sorry, but hopefully it gives you a little bit of insight.

Help

Hi, if you have the orriginal install disks that came with the computer then you will be in good shape. What you need to do is run the Xp install or recovery disk and at the SECOND prompt run repair, this will take you through the entire setup for XP, restoring the missing files but will save all your existing ones.
If you do not have the orriginal disks then you will need to buy a new install disk.

Hi, I think you will need to run the Dell restore disk, install the orriginal drivers and use the dell system to bootup then load the drivers the ASUS drivers then close the system, install the new card and then bootup. on doing this there will be resident drivers for the new card and it should work fine, then delete the orriginal drivers.
