Question about Excalibur Phantom Force Electronic Chess Set
Hi, I just purchased the Excalibur Phantom Force Chess Set and the error message MT01R keeps coming up. I can't find any details in the manual. None of the pieces are moving on the board. Do you know what this means? I only purchased this set today and I'm thinking it is an error with the motor. Please advise.
In my case the solution was to remove all but 4 of the screws on the backside, which holds the
two halves together. And then back off the remaining 4 screws so it only holds the two halves
I had this same error after roughly 50 to 100 games. But the mechanism would run fine when I
opened the unit up. I also noticed that it was held together so tightly, that the magnet that moves
across the board was etching a pattern into the metal plate that it contacted.
Giving the motor just a little more room was all that was needed. I've had no problems since

Fiddle around with the mechanism lock on the bottom. Once it engages properly, it will work. I had exactly the same problem.
