Question about Compaq Presario 5000 PC Desktop
I'm scared I may break it , I have the side off and I lost my computer manual , which doesn't help .It won't fit unless I take the door off and I tried to fit it through the back and there isn't enough room .Thank you so much for your time .
Seems like the Presario 5000 only has two drive bays, so your best bet is to remove one of the drives that you don't need anymore and replace it with the new one. You will have to open the side, then you should see some screws holding the drive in place. Unscrew those (might have to fit your screwdriver in some tiny holes to unscrew the screws on the opposite side) then slide the old drive out the front of the machine. Slide the new one in place, plug in, and you should be good.
