Question about Rockford Fosgate Pl1 210 Stage 1 Dual 10" Hatchback Subwoofer
I have pioneer shallow subwoofers now and was wondering if 10'' rockfords would sound better than these. I have limited space but enough to fit 10'' subs.
There are several factors to what sounds good in a subwoofer. Your head unit, amp, enclosure size and enclosure type as well as where its placed. I tend to think that fosgates are superior to a lot of speakers but orion and JL are making some pretty impressive speakers too. Check the speakers need for airspace and make sure you can accomodate it. If you can, and the resonant frequency is more to your liking then move up to fosgates. Personally, I think the difference MIGHT be minimal assuming you are using the same inclosure, amp and head unit. Good Luck!
