Sip welder....the fan cuts out ever 10 minutes or so..it starts up very slow then cuts out after 10 mins it starts again if the welder is switched off for 5 minutes...i would have thought an overheating but nothing feels warm...the fan dies out badly while welding

also do you hear any clicking when you depress the trigger?
You should. If nottry to jump the trigger wires inside themachine right where it goes out to the "gun"wires? worksnow? problemis in the gun cord somewhere.
Still not working? CHeck the contactor. SOmetimes a boxelder bug will get inthem and prevent them from working, or the contacts fry themselves.
SOURCE: was welding 10 min later mach. quit power was good circut breaker was good and fuses were good
it probably has a fuse for overheating safety, or else the feed motor fried
SOURCE: Welder not welding
SOunds like your ground is not connected solidly either inside the machine or at the ground clamp. Check to make sure the ground wire at the clamp is not broken then make sure the ground wire is connected solidly inside the machine.
SOURCE: SIP turbo 150 mig welder instructions wanted
for welding cars or similar thickness steel use it on number1 setting speed 6-7 and practise max and min should be used when you want a bit more power A gose onto number 2 and then 3 these are amp settings and are for thickness of steel to be weled your welder can weld up to 8mm of plate steel on setting 3 max i use 0.9mm gasless flux cored wire great for working out doors the wind tends to blow gas away on standard wire yours is easly converted to gasless as so was mine
SOURCE: Lincoln 135 PRO MIG Welder feed stops after a few minutes
1/4" plate with a 135 amp machine is probably beyond it's duty cycle abilites. If you are using a mixed gas, and pushing the max on the settings, it will be cutting out because it is designed to.
You might want to get a higher amperage welder for consistent welding of 1/4"
The 140 Pro maxes out at 5/16" using inner shield wire. and 1/8", or 10 guage with gas.
Could also be the condesor that is temperature sensitive and most likely cheeper to replace
