I just bought a mp3 player made by spi. I transfered music into the correct folder to be put on the mp3 but deleted some songs that i didn't want added. Somehow, every song was added anyway and now i can't figure out how to get them off. It won't let me just delete the song while in the folder, so how do i get them off the mp3?

Go to my computer scroll to sansa or your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders themselfs then format a couple of times hope this works
Try and drag and drop from your music folder to the media folder on the player make sure usb mode is msc this will show you all the folders Use your windows explorer for the transfer... much easier...If you don't have copies of your music copy to a folder on the computer first
change the usb modes also....MSC will allow you to see the expansion
card ( 2Gig E200 series 4gig Fuze) mtp won't.....MTP shows you your
music folder in the media folder thats where you put your music plus
expansion..... Delete songs and Format (Helps with trying to delete BAD TRACKS and folders that will not delete full memory(Some ripped CD folders).. Go to my computer scroll to sansa or your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders themselves then format a couple of times hope this works
1. Plug your Kix MP3 player into the USB port.
2. In Windows, open File Explorer (right-click Start, select Explore).
3. In File Explorer, open Insignia KIX, Fixed Storage, Music.
4. Select and delete any undesired songs and/or folders, except the Music folder.
Your DB might be corrupt. Folow the delete procedure one more time:
Delete Music Files
1) Connect your Sansa to the computer.
2) Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial
3) Select the place where you want to delete music files from
4) Highlight and delete the music file/s or folder from My Computer\Sansa
e200\...\MUSIC folder. (You can also select from a variety of music
software programs to transfer/synchronize your files).
If that fails, go ahead and update the firmware - it will delete everything, and allow you to start over from scratch among other things.
We Too had a hard time deleting a song but found the solution..... Put the mp3 play in the MSC mode through the settings do not put in auto.....when your computer prompts that the music player is connected it will have a screen that asks play music, open folder to veiw files..... or take no action... you neew to click on the open folder to veiw files..... when this screen loads find the song or songs that you want to delete right click and then delete it will only delete from the mp3 player.....took me two days of pissing with this mp3 player to figure it out......
You have to plug the mp3 player into the computer, double-click My Computer, double click on the icon of the GoGear, and then go into the Music folder - exercise caution: only delete music files - if you delete files that are non-music files, you will effectively destroy your GoGear.
Windows Media Player is more complex, but it is a safer way to delete songs:
To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 11:
1. Connect your mp3 player to the computer
2. Open Windows Media Player
3. Click on the icon of your Mp3 player on the left-hand side of the Library
4. Click on the Songs, Tracks, or other Music Folder
5. Find a song or songs that you want to delete
6. Left-click the song once to highlight it
7. Press the “Delete” button on your computer’s keyboard

You can connect the device to your computer and manage it thru "My Computer.
Open My Computer, then open the device (i.e. Sansa m240). Inside there is a Music folder, you can delete them from here. You can also drag songs here to transfer to the player.
If you are not able to see the "music" folder, you may need to enable "Hidden Files and Folders" on your computer.
Best of Luck.
Try a reset and see if it corrects itself.
hit menu, settings, scroll to reset all, select yes. This won't delete any files, but it should clear up the song transfer problem. If that doesn't work you may have to reformat the device which will erase all data on it. But then you can start fresh again.
The filesystem has a limit to the number of files that can exist in one directory (around 100). If you are putting all the music in the same directory, the device will appear to be full even though there is a lot of space. The solution is to put your music into folders (per album, or whatever).
