Lights flashing, won't start, replaces board 3 times still same problem
Please see this causes and use the common sense. God bless you
Power Supply
The main power supply is the first thing to check. Also remove the toe
kick and the cover on the power box and check the connections. Also check for 120 volt at the power box.
Hi - Limit Fuse
This will fail if your dishwasher overheats and occassionally with power
surges. This is easy to check, inexpensive and a quick fix. Just check
the terminals for continuity ( remember always remove one wire) if you
have none replace the hi limit fuse.
Door Switch
This is the second place to look. Again an inexpensive easy fix. The following video will walk you thru checking the door switch. The power comes into the main power box and usually runs to the door switch next before entering the main control module.
Main Control Module / Timer
The main control module or mechanical timer controls all the functions
of the dishwasher. To check this you will need to find the 2 leads that
supply the power to the control. They will be marked on the wiring
diagram. They usually come from the hi - limit fuse or the door switch.
When the door is latched you should have 120 volts entering the main
control. If you do not the problem is not the control. If you do have
power entering the control but none of the functions work properly or it
does not respond at all you will need to replace the control module,
this is easy to replace but not very inexpensive to purchase. Consider
the age and overall condition when purchasing this part.
Motor
The motor may have failed. If the control illuminates on electronic
versions the problem may be the motor. To check the motor refer to the
tech sheet located behind the console cover on most models, this will
sometimes have the ohm reading of the motor. Also check each lead to the
metal housing of the motor to check for shorts in the motor. If you do
not have the ohm reading specicifications, check for continuity if none replace the motor. Make sure the motor is recieving power.
Float Switch
If the float switch has failed or is stuck the dishwasher control may
not respond. The float switch is easy to check and replace. We have video and tutorials that cover several style

That means the control sensed that the heater in the d/w did not operate 3 times in a row. so the unit locks out. First remove the kick plate and you may have to pull the unit out from under the cab, but check your heater. use a meter to see if it reads open, if so order a heater assy it will come with a new control replace it to. If your heater checks good press in sequence normal wash , heat dry ,normal wash, heat dry , normal wash , heat dry three times within 6 sec all the lights will come on then hit cancel. What that did is reset the control and clear that fault. Keep in mind that d/w does not heat it's own water your incoming water temp should be 120. the d/w will maintain that temp. when starting your d/w first turn on your hot water till it gets hot then start your d/w this insures your unit fills with hot water and not cold

There is a small replacable part on the control panel circuit board which is like a fuse. It actually is a temperature fuse and it blows when the environment gets too hot for the circuit board. Unplug the dishwasher and take the door apart so you can see the circuit board. If you trace the power wires one of them leads to a little white module with 2 electrical tabs. Unplug the 2 wires and unsnap the module. You can check it with an ohm meter. IF its good the meter will register almost a short. f it's bad it will be open. The parts place I went to didn't even need a model number and he says he goes through a lot of them.

You will have to reset the console. To do this, close the door and press these buttons in sequence...
-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry
...all
the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic
cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2
minutes).
You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

It's a heating issue either a bad heater or bad sensor.

Well I contacted a couple of techy guys I know and they were not familiar with the dishwasher. I then called the outlet we had purchased from to see if they could refer us to a service technician. I explained what I wanted and the woman on the phone asked what the problem was - she then asked me to close the door of the dishwasher and hold down the start button for 30-40 seconds to see what happens, which I did. At about the 30 second mark the machine started. She said it was likely that someone had interrupted the last cycle and we had effectively reset it. It ran a further 30 seconds to complete that last part of the interrupted cycle and has been fine ever since. My wife took them a box of chocolates the next day. Shows to go ay? Kind regards Peter
