If you have a Motorola W230 and you don't know how to backup your contacts in the phone memory, I found a quick way to transfer it in quick steps, instead of doing it one by one. I wrote a guide to do it at this link! http://www.nomadtravellers.com/various-topics/142-motorola-w230-backup-your-phonebook-without-connecting-the-pc-suite
according to motorola, this phone has bluetooth and micro SD card slot. if you have computer with bluetooth, then you can pair the computer and phone and simply send music files wirelessly via bluetooth. if you dont have bluetooth, then you can buy a cheap usb bluetooth adapter from ebay and have a bluetooth enabled computer, then follow above step.
if you have SD card slot on your computer then you can get a SD card to micro SD card slot adapter from ebay or elsewhere, where you can simply put music on then card from pc and then transfer the card to the phone.
here is the phone manual.for safety read the whole manual. p.55 for music and p.79 for bluetooth instructions.
simply check the u correctly insert the your micro SD card and check the manual of your phone which type card its support. After it select the data storage type then try to transfer the music. Its work
micro sd card has a built in driver on its own, all you have to do is to unlock your phone and connect the cable to your phone and your pc.. press "yes" on your phone questioning you "connect as a storage device" or something like that.. then you can start file transfer from pc to phone and vice versa..
if your sd card is read by the card reader..... its possible to install a new songs.... first you want to do is find a folder to your micro sd that contain a music file.. second be sure that you know the audio format file.. then copy paste audio from computer to micro sd...
follow the above line.... and probably you must have a memory card in the fone.... once you are done with downloading the driver
connect the fone and you would get the 'found new hardware baloon' select 'no not this time' and click next and browse to the driver which is downloaded, click next and finish the process...
once you remove and connect the fone you would get a prompt on the fone's display "connect phone as storage device" click yes to transfer data or click no or leave it alone for the fone to get charged...
hope this helps you..
use this alt link to download driver
