Question about Epson PictureMate 500 InkJet Photo Printer
I bought a Pituremate 500 on ebay. The cartridge was still useable but the whole machine was dried up due to storage, and also got the message " Felt ink Pad Full " or a similar message. SO ! ( not really recomending this solution ) I removed the Felt Pad and washed and dried it. I then removed the ink cartridge. I then got a small Squeezy Bottle with a longish spout and filled it with HOT water. I then over the sink flushed out the whole front ink head base and heads without letting water enter the back base. ( Dodgy !) I then relplaced the Felt Pad when I had dried everything and did the Program head flush about 5 times. I then put in a new Cartridge. It worked as if new. NOW ! After not using the printer for about a Month it has dried up again. So was it or is it worth the trouble ?

Take the ink-cartridge out, shake it only very lightly and put it back in the printer. Turn it on and go to the options section and run the printhead cleaner option and alignment, this might make it work properly. Good Luck
