I recently added local channels for Syracuse and jumped in with my
first TIVO. Since this was a local channel upgrade, the TIVO unit was
installed by a DirecTV contractor. Everything works great, but I
can't figure out how to change the setup to show the 72 degree
satellite signal strength. The setup page only gives 101 and 119.
Any ideas?
Scott

Two possibilities... Your installation didn't include the required
second dish for the 72 Deg W Long. orbit position satellite.
The DVR40 needs a software update for the third orbit position.
If a software update is needed you might be able to accelerate
that activity with a call to DirecTV.

Jack - thanks for the reply! I should have mentioned in the first
post that I have the second dish and I can see the local channels on
the DVR40. The problem is, I can't see the signal strength of the
second dish. The menu page doesn't list it as an option. I suspect
there is a way to do this, but can't find the immediate solution.
Thanks for the advice. Maybe it is time the call the DirecTV folks
and see what they know.
