The camera did not come with a charger, I was wondering if it charges through the USB cable.

The C1433 is a camera, not a battery charger. It uses standard AA batteries, either disposables or rechargeables. If you choose to use rechargeable batteries, you must charge them outside the camera using a separate battery charger.

B. Charge with supplied charger Your camera is supplied a compatible charger for you, you are only required to put the battery into charger and charge the lithium battery directly from electrical outlet

Charge lithium battery

You CANNOT charge a camera through a USB port there just is not enough power! you need to get an original wall charger and power up from that. Even the USB cable/wall charger will NEVER charge it up sufficiently.
The USB cable is for data transfer only.

You can charge the battery using the USB cable. The camera has a built-in recgargeable Li-ion battery, but the AC charger is "optional" ... go figure...

I'm not aware of any indicator light on the camera. The optional external charger has a red lighht that turns amber, then green.

USB charging is not possible. You need to have the battery charger to be able to fully charge the battery. This should come along with the camera kit.

you can charge the battery through the camera like a cellphone.

plug the USB cable to the ADAPTER then plug it to a wall socket then plug the USB cable connected to the AC power adapter to your camera

the USB cable should have an indicator (RED) if it is already charging and (GREEN) when its done

The plug-in charger does not come with a usb cable? What i have is a detachable dual purpose usb cable. One that can be attached via usb to the charger and can be connected to any usb port of a laptop or a desktop.

I was wondering because it should come with the package.

WELL, AFTER MUCH CHECKING I COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING THAT MENTIONED CHARGING THE BATTERY THROUGH THE USB CABLE, SO I HAVE TO ASSUME THAT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE. MAYBE YOU HAVE HAD LUCK DOING IT, BUT FUJI DOESN'T SAY ANYWHERE THAT IT CAN BE DO.
