Question about Kodak EASYSHARE V1273 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Not So-Easyshare I have a V1273, and and hate the Easyshare program. I cant find a photo program that will recognize my camera to import the photos from the card. (A card reader doesn't see it either)

Do you get the same message when you are connecting the camera with the card in the camera, or when you put the card in an external card reader?

Have you tried removing and reinserting the card?

Can you see the images on the camera?

Can you clarify what you mean by "a card reader doesn't see it either". Have you tried removing the card from your camera and putting it in a card reader. If so, do you see the card as a drive in your Windows Explorer (or Finder, if you use a Mac)?

I had this same problem too.... So i understand what you are talking about. Try loading the CD that came with the camera. It worked for me. Then if that doesn't work, try opening the file using another system.

How to import photos from memory card?

.The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Under MacOSX I have a Easyshare Z470 camera. Microprogram for camera 1.0100. When I connect my camera through a USB as usual, iPhoto recognize the camera and open as usual. But since 1 month,...

Pro photographers avoid this very common problem by always using a diskreader. You've found that this method works very well so stop worrying and enjoy. As far as the problem with the pics on the internal memory of the camera, go into the menu and find "copy". It will give you the option to copy the internal memory to a memory card.

I can't get my new MacBook to recognize and import photos.

Mac's don't need a driver to recognize the camera however they usually need a specific program for different brands of photos. You can also try opening up iPhoto as that will usually recognize the camera. If iPhoto doesn't work and you don't want to install a new program you can also get a card reader that'll connect via USB and will avoid needing any program to transfer photos.

I have a kodak easyshare c182 and i have windows professional 2000. it keeps saying it cant support this version, how do i get my pics on my computer?

Ignore Easyshare software. Download Picasa and Import, sort, email, upload to an online web page etc. your photos using this excellent program.
Another way is to simply click Start/My Computer and your camera card should appear there as D: or E: click that and other folders within, until you see your photos. Copy the enclosing folder and paste it where you wish. Try to upgrade to XP it is one of the best.

Will I loose photos or captions when upgrading EASYSHARE SOFTWARE

First of all.
You should always backup your data onto CD/DVD/memory stick or other external device !
And that does include photos.
You will not loose any data when you upgrade.
My personal opion is:
Download "Picasa 3" (free from google)
It is the best free program for non pros.
You can then import all your saved photos

Download movie by Kodak Easyshare

Instead of using the software... Try uninstalling the software and use the Microsoft Scanner and Camera wizard to transfer photos/video to your computer. It should recognize everything on your camera, and then you can copy and paste the photos/videos into whatever folder you specify. In my experience, Kodak's EasyShare software was able to recognize .MOV movies. If your computer is slow, you might want to wait a while for all the processing to be done and check if the videos were recognizeD
