It won't read it. It should be as simple as plugging the male end of the wire, 1 end into the psp, and the other male end into the aux input. select a song on the psp and press play. turn up volume to full volume on the psp (not on stereo) and the slowly turn up volume on stereo until its at your liking. if this works, let me know, if it doesnt, let me know.

Intermittent audio via aux jack Kenwood KDC148, replace the E1 jack look else where?

you have a couple of options first of all it may not be the jack it maybe the cable that you plug into it also most decks have an auxiliary input RCA style on the back you can plugin RCA to 3.5 millimeter adapter and use that as an input instead of replacing the faceplate

DISPLAY ON MY KENWOOD STEREO STOPPED WIORKING

Hi there,

I also created a tutorial on fixing faceplates with 2R7 resistors (refer to my tip).

But, your unit will have a different chassis, as the faceplate is also a video display.

First you need to determine if the buttons on the faceplate are operating the various functions. If the buttons are NOT operating, then the faceplate itself (or connection to the main unit) can be considered faulty.

It's highly probable that the RIBBON cable (which connects faceplate to the inside of the unit) may be defective - this is common in some Kenwood units.

Try searching Google or youtube for ribbon cable repairs etc.

Hope this leads you in the right direction.

Cheers,

Scott

How do you use the AUX imput on the Kenwood kdc mp205

if there is no aux port on the front(if there is just plug it in and press source till it displays aux) it is in the rear you will need your deck keys to remove the stereo and most likely it is a rca to 3.5mini jack run this cable to your glove box

Don't know what faceplate to buy for Kenwood Stereo SER# r8188309

So if i understand your question correctly, you still have the stereo in your dash, but the face has been stolen, is this correct, Because if this is the case you can remove the rest of the stereo from the dash and somewhere on this unit it will tell you what model it is.

How do I enable the Auxillary option on my KDC-MP232 so I can play my MP3 player. I hooked it up using the aux. jacks in the back but it just played over the radio or cd player I do not know how to isolate...

when your car is on, turn the stereo off. you should be able to access a menu somehow when the stereo is off. in that menu, you should have the option to toggle the aux source on or off. simply switch it to on, then turn the sterreo back on, and hit the source button. it should now be ready to go.
