Can't get internet on ps3

Okay, i'll see if i know what we're talking about here. There are a couple of things you could try. For one, try logging into your router, (usually at 192.168.0.1 and looking in the Client or Address lists for a PS3, or whatever you have named it, and then see if you can either disconnect or renew it. Then, redo the whole WiFi setup on the PS3 setting all the settings as you would but leave the IP settings as they are (should be Auto). If that still doesn't work, go into the PS3's connection settings and manually set an IP address. My suggestion is to use the same address as an already connected (and working computer), but change the last number. Whatever you do, make sure there are not two of the same IP address on the router. Hope this helps...

My ps3 keeps on sayin dns error

if your set to obtain setting automaticly try rebooting your router then go through the network setup again to refresh all the setting.

If you put in the ip address and dns setting in manually then double check the info that was given a good test is to use an alternative dns for dns #1 like 4.2.2.3 and see if that clears the error , if it does then the dns server that you were given is down or you were given the wrong info

PS3 says DNS error (80710102) when i try to connect to the internet with a wired connection

Goto the command prompt bar in the start menu type ' cmd ' then click o.k . A black dos screen will appear type in ' ipconfig/all ' and it will the the two servers you need under dns servers but if your doing a wired connection to your ps3 then you need to manually configure your dns on the custom method of setting up your internet connection on your ps3 as if this is auto config that will give you a dns error. Hope that helps ,I can go into more detail and guide you through it if need to .

This is a common issue, do you have a thumb drive or aka flash usb drive? If you do use your computer to d/l the firmwareupdate
HERE then load the firware update from the thumb drive onto the ps3 via one of the usb ports on it, and hopefully this will fix your issue.
