Thinking about buying a pro com -ML250TPA-BB from tractor supply for my garage can i use a 40 lbs. propane tank for gas supply?

I think what you have is a 100 Lb tank, that holds 40 gallons of propane. If that's,the case, it would be acceptable. IF the tank is placed Outside the garage 3 ft from any doors or windows: The gas line is a minimum of 1/2" diameter; the heater is permanently mounted to the wall (at least 18" off the floor); there is an accessible, inline gas shutoff valve within 2 feet of the heater and you have a properly sized tank regulator. You do all that, and you'll reach the minimum code standards that are required.

Hope this helps you make the right decision.

Where can i find a downloadable user guide, and a service manual for this model..also im tryig to find the right regulator for this model..does anyone know where i can find it??thanks!!

Here's a link to the Procom Owner's Manual website. However, the Model Number you listed doe not sound like a Procom Model #.

http://www.worldmkting.com/owners_manuals.htm

Also, all vent-free heaters, fireplaces, gas log sets, etc come with the regulator built-in. Are you trying to replace one you think doesn't work? Or are you trying to convert it from one gas type to another?

If it's the latter, there is no conversion approved for vent-free gas appliances. Plus, if you could, it would take more than just the regulator to do it. Totally unsafe to do.. Please don't attempt it.

I have purchased a Procom ventless heater (ML250TPA) and need to know if I have to put a low pressurer reg. on the system outside or will this model heater reduce the propane pressurer coming from my 500...

This heater is designed to work with LP gas. You will need a regulator from the tank to the heater set at 11"wc .that's standard for any LP gas system. Your existing piping system should have a regulator already outside of your house before the gas inters your home .If it does not then you will have to install one. The regulator can be inside but you will have to run a vent line in copper from the regulators vent to the outside of your house.

Hope this helps ......

I Need to know whaat type of regulator is need for model ssu320rhl-gb Please

Here is a link to the owners manual and page 8 and 9 tell you about the regulator.

http://www.northerntool.com/downloads/manuals/177883.pdf

You need to a 8-11WC regulator for propane and if you are using natural gas you will want to keep the pressure between 3-10WC

If this is connected to a propane bottle you want o use at least a 100lb bottle.

Thanks

There will be a number printed on the side of the regulator, contact Procom direct or just put the number into google search and something will come up.

Getting fumes in home while heater is running

The pressure regulator can very well be the problem if you had the device three years with out a problem.
Is the devise vented? if so then maybe there is not enought draft to completely combust the fuel, if it is NOT vented then it very well could be the regulator sending more fuel to the devise that it is able to combust properly.

Pilot goes out!!

My manual shows three possibilities:  1) Insufficient fresh air available for combustion, so ODS kicks off gas flow 2) Low gas line pressure (should be between 11 and 14") or 3) ODS/Pilot is partially clogged.  Toll free number for ProCom is 877-886-5989.
