First thing on a Dead VZ7 to check is the solder connection at the yokes "DY" Connector. Then Check C411 2200uf @ 35V
Then C412 10uf @50V. Then Check IC700 Pin 20 for 0VDC any voltage other than 0VDC on that pin means Diode D980 is leaky.

no those tvs came with a black otuer screen that have rough ridges . If your screen is blue, someone may have replaced it with a dark colored plastic. You can get replacement screens at the following link, They are exspensive though.

VERTICAL ROLLING, VERTICAL BLANKING BAR LOCKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PICTURE, ALSO MAY HAVE HORIZONTAL PULLING OR TEARING. CHECK C2C52 10 UFD @ 50 V OFF THE BASE OF Q2C51 ON THE SIGNAL PCB. 2). CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 AND IC2P01 PART # 270P466020 (9-VOLT REGULATOR). BOTH ARE ON THE SIGNAL PCB.2). CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 AND IC2P01 PART # 270P466020 (9-VOLT REGULATOR). BOTH ARE ON THE SIGNAL PCB. 3). CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 AND IC2P01 PART # 270P466020 (9-VOLT REGULATOR). BOTH ARE ON THE SIGNAL PCB. Good Luck, big IRISH.
