My electrolux dishwasher Model# EWDW6505GSO has an error 01 code however we cannot find any moisture under the tub. How can the dishwasher be re-set to get rid of the code? The manual does not explain. Thanks!

  • dentureguy Dec 27, 2008

Thanks guy! You're the man! We followed your steps and used a hair dryer with the breaker shut off and the code disappeared and it works again! The best thing is that tonight we have 20 people over and we did not want to have to do dishes by hand!

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, the error code "01" indicates a leak or overflow has been detected and flooding is possible. This would refer to the drain area below the tub of the dishwasher. In most occasions, cleaning the filter, strainer, mesh, grid, sump, impeller, pump and hose should address the error code. There are however instances where the error code is persistently displayed even if the aforementioned areas/components have been cleaned and dried. One method of correcting this is to force dry the bottom/under the tub with the use of a can of compressed air, an air compressor, a reversible vacuum cleaner, hair dryer or even a ventilator/electric fan. There have been reports of successful tricks like laying the dishwasher on its side. Thereafter pressing on the STOP, PAUSE or CANCEL for more than 5 seconds should clear the code or unplugging the unit for an extended period of time.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

In certain situations which are critical to the machine

function and safe operation, the control shall

shut down and indicate an error code ‘Er’ (See Error

Codes on page 21). On units without a display, all

    indicator lights will flash.

If one of these codes are displayed contact the

Electrolux Customer Care Center at 1-877-435-

    3287
. They will be able to provide assistance in

troubleshooting the problem and/or locating an

Have an error code 01 on my electrolux dishwasher

Good Morning Friend, I am happy to assist you!

Typically error code ER01 indicates that a water leak has been detected under the tub of your Electrolux dishwasher. Your dishwasher may possibly need a hydraulic kit. Try unplugging your dishwasher or flipping the household circuit breaker off first. It is good to wait approximately ten minutes and turn on your appliance. If the error code continues to display, then I recommend contacting a professional to make a precise diagnosis. Best regards! - Z

Error code 01 keeps coming up and will not let dishwasher complete its cycle. My dishwasher no. is ewdw6505gso and it is only 3 years old. I have 2 other appliances that are Electrolux. Please help.

Mine was only a few months old when error 01 arrived - it is a leak. The Electrolux dishwashers have a leak detector at the bottom inside the plastic pan, that when water appears it sets off the code and you cannot restart the dishwasher until you dry the pan out (tip the unit forward and water will come out) but it will keep on doing it unless you repair it - mine was covered under warranty and they replaced a lot of parts at the bottom. Not even a year later it leaked again, but not as bad. I took it apart and removed a fabric pad that sits in the bottom of the pan, it does not go off that much any more since the water evaporates before it does any damage. I think this feature is completely useless - I would rather see a wet spot on the floor than not be able to do dishes... If you got 3 years you are doing well. I will just replace my appliances as they die and never buy Electrolux ever again! PS if a refrigerator is one of your other units, be aware that their main boards can fail and are very expensive to replace. You will know it is blown when your food freezes in the lower compartment and your lights come on instantly instead of glowing up slowly.

AEG F65070VI fitted dishwasher error code 46 & 30

This error is flood alert because of a leak in the tub. IT might be a seal but you have to remove it and drain it and lay it down to see and then you need parts.

Error 1 code now says dry function

If your unit is displaying the ER01, E01, or 01 codes in the display panel you are experiencing a leak concern. The unit has detected a leak somewhere within the unit. This could be within the door seal, the tub basin itself, or in the drain lines/pump. Only a professional can diagnose further for complete repairs.

Smeg e01 error

E1 error code is an antiflood error code.

Water will be in the base of the washer due to a leak. So what you need to do is pull the washer out and tip it 45 degs backwards and the water will drain out from the base. so you may need a towel for that part.

Once the water is out the antiflood switch will reset itself and the washer should start to work again from there.

Then just keep an eye on it and see if you can locate the leak if there is 1.

Regards

Electrolux dishwasher DF code after an er 01 code. how to fix at home

Hello Shirley - Typically error code ER01 indicates that a water leak is detected under the tub. Unit will possibly need a hydraulic kit. Try unplugging the unit or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn the unit back on. Could the error code DF possibly be PF? If so, PF means power failure and you should be able to start a cycle. If the error code continues to display on dishwasher then I suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose and repair it.

Electrolux dishwasher error code 01

I found the error codes in the owners manual, (01) is a leak. I called customer service (no wait time) and they said there is pan under the tub that will contain and detect water if it leaks. They said I could wait for it to dry out. They said there could be a hose that became loose or had a pin hole in it. After I hung up with customer service I did my own problem solving. The diswasher washing cycle was just started. Then then the door was opened 5 to 6 times to add more utensils and dishes while the the machine was running. Then the error code came on. this was the first time this had happened. I beleive water seeped doen through the hinges and the seal into the pan. I unpluged the dishwasher and disconnected the water line and pulled it from under the counter. Then lifted the diswasher onto 4 inch blocks of wood placed under the feet. This made it easier to access the pan. It had 2 screws inthe front and 1 in the rear with 3 clips. I removed the pan and dried it. Inspected the hoses under the unit and determined none of them had appeared to be leaking. I positioned a fan to blow under the unit to speed up the dry time, about 1/2 an hour. Put everything back together and ran a high pressure hot water cycle and found no leakes, so far.
