Question about Whirlpool AWM6120 Front Load Washer
During a wash cycle machine stopped and flashed red lights on wash indicator and 2 spin speed indicators (bottom two lights for 0 and 100).
I have tried to just drain the remaining water by selecting drain and the machine attempts this for a while and then flashes these same error lights again. I have tried other cycles witht the same result.
That isn't a good model number, open the door, look around the opening where you put the clothes in and next time send the model number off of the machine,if you can't get it to drain and water is in the machine get a shop vac, suck out the water from the tub, then go to the pump, loosen the center of the pump until water starts to come out vac it up until no more water comes out, remove the center catch and see if there's junk in there,if so this is your problem, stick the nozzle of the vac inside and clean out the inside, put it back together and see if it will drain

my whirlpool 6th sense will not start all lights and power i think that it is the door sensor at fault? The green light door locked light is not on.

Can you manually advance it through all the steps of the cycle? If so, you can live with it until you replace the little timer motor. (I once carved a tiny wooden gear to replace a tiny nylon gear on the timer, and that worked fine for another 20 years.) If not, then I'd say the control unit needs replacing.

I assume you have checked to see if the pump is working,
Select drain and spin, if water does not go away, then you have a pump problem, which will stop the programme completing.
Please leave feedback.

Try checking for good water supply.
Pull out detergent tray and check for good water supply during filling.
if poor filling-
Try checking the hoses.
Turn taps off, disconnect from machine, place hose end in sink, turn tap on and check for good water flow.
if the hose has a red indicator in the side of the hose (end which is fitted to the tap) - Red indicator is a failed hose.(for models with Water Stop hose type "B")

Yeah. This is a pump problem. Our machine first did this about 3 months ago. I took the filter plug out and removed about 10 coins from around the pump impeller area! I removed the pump and dismantled it. Unfortunately water was getting in past the seal on the pump spindle. I cleaned it all out and reassembled it. Worked fine till a couple of weeks ago. It has worn out the spindle "bearings" and because of the loose play it gets stuck, intermittently. If you are by the machine when the drain cycle starts , you can give the filter housing a few bangs(take off the circular cover) . The pump will start up .It makes a grumbly sound, as it is knackered. But once started will generally keep going. The answer however is a new pump. And probably a pact with everyone in your household to be more careful not to leave stuff in the clothes you put in the machine. Our washer has got through 2 mobile phones. a packet of bradding nails, a lot of cash, both coins and notes.Various other stuff that i wont mention! The pump gets very hot when it is trying to turn but cant because of debris on the impeller. This will lead to the pump failing after a time.
