Question about Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook C2230 Notebook
Ma Fujitsu Lifebook c2230 occasional crashes or shutsdown on its own. Usually while doing something relatively processor intensive, but nothing it hasn't been able to do in the past. Startup is also an issue. The Fujitsu screen will appear, then it will often just shutdown again, before booting windows. I usually need to try 3 or 4 or more times before it finally boots up properly. It seems to be more of a hardware problem than a software problem, but I don't know. Maybe a good old fashioned reformat will do the trick, but I wanted to check if this is a known issue.
Yes it sounds as if it's a hardware fault, maybe a processor overheating by the sound of what you say, just check around all the vents and gently hoover them incase there is a circulation problem and the processor is shutting down. It could also be a failing memory module, you can download a programme to test this called 'memtest' if you do a google on it, but alas not a processor test.
