Chances are the oven is designed for 60HZ and your supply is 50Hz. This will cause the unit to shut down because it thinks it is not getting the proper "interrupt" signal from the power line. You can check the owner's manual (or model number tag) and the manual for the converter.

I replaced the line fuse in my GE JVM1790SK01 microwave, but it blew again as soon as i tried to start it. the display came on, but blew the fuse as soon as i hit start i start.

Yes... Not very sophisticated... but that is what these beauties do when their Magnetron finally gives up the ghost (major cause).

They are wonderful machines!

Magnetron
AP3883525 (WB27X10865)... approximately $104... at appliance parts pros

If you love them... you know what you need to do.

and

Fuse:
Very good... you have an excellent beginning.

Keep up the good work.

These "parts" can be EARLY failed... by putting very small
pats of butter... or ting amounts of fluid. I watched my sisters grand children using her "NEW" microwave to soften pats of butter.

A word to the wise wasn't heard... and now she has another "NEW" Microwave.

Good luck... save $$$

WHAT WILL MAKE MY GE MICROWAVE WES1384SM2SS FUSE KEEP BLOWING I REPLACED IT ONCE AND AS SOON AS I OPEN THE DOOR IT BLEW AGAIN

The fuse is there to protect your home in case something has gone wrong inside your microwave. Since the fuse has blown twice, you can safely assume that there is something wrong inside. It may be fixable, it may not be economic to fix it. Impossible to troubleshoot electronics without the unit and test equipment.

GE microwave JE1660WB001 does not heat makes humming sound

The magnetron has gone and is the heart of the microwave oven, this part is the most expensive to replace, cheaper to buy new in the long run.

Disconnect it and connect bac to power. check the fuse. If nothing works is either the fuse, the cable or the power supply unit.

sounds to me like the magnatron has shorted out. i don't know of a way to test them unless you have some high dollar equipment. a continuity test prob wont tell you anything. what reading did you get on the cap when you tested it?

Microwave is nt heating

The problem of shutting down after 29 seconds is due to a defect in either the magnetron or the inverter. It will need service, preferably by a professional due to the lethal voltages inside. You should be able to find a servicer at the Indian site: http://nationalpanasonicindia.com
