Can you ask a friend who as a fax machine to fax you something? That would probably do it. If you don't know anyone with a fax machine, do you have a fax machine at work? Send a fax from work to your home fax machine and then check your home machine after work.
First things first, i really want to know how things being setup in your end. Let say for example, from the walljack what is the device connected to it. Or if your using one line for both incoming calls and faxes. Or if your using a DSL also for that same phone number for faxing/incoming calls.
Those are just severa factors that affect your problems. Meanwhile, i cant give you a solution on your issue since i still dont have a clear picture on are the devices connected with each other. ALso, its really advisable that you need to use the telephone cord that came out with the box.
You would need to connect a phone line from the appropriate port on the all-in-one to an open phone jack in order to make faxing work. If that's a problem, you can use the scan feature and send docs by email as a workaround. If you want to get incoming fax service, though, you will need the phone line connected to the unit.
