Question about Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router
I have been trying to manually set up port forwarding for my logitech computer and it's not working. It says I need to:
Forward the ports manually by changing the settings in your router.
You need to forward port 8888 for TCP traffic and port 8081 for TCP and UDP traffic.
I have tried that, but I am still not getting any streaming or http. Can you advise? I'm at a loss. I have a
Do you know how to do portforwarding in general?
Have a look at the manual - page 21. You can also find it here: ftp://ftp.linksys.com/downloads/NA/userguide/WRT310N_V10_UG_B-WEB.pdf
You should give your computer a static IP address (or enable static DHCP), otherwise the forwarding will fail if DHCP assings a different address to your computer.
Important is that you have two entries, one for port 8888 /TCP and a second one for port 8081 /Both.
If this helped, please come back and leave a comment, to help others with the same problem.
