Crash Why did my vostro 1000 crash 20 hrs after warranty expired.And now they at support want me to give them more money for any help. seems kind of strange to me.Any input from others with same problem please respond.

Ashley customer service has a fix but requires both drives, power unit and switches to be replaced. Before you call you will need your serial number off the bottom of your chair. They do cost money after the short warranty expires.

Sounds like you are overtaking the power supply with the upgraded video card. 250 Watt is pretty much an entry level PWS, with most systems and upgraded Video I suggest a 400 watt PWS or higher

Does it happen *ONLY* when connected to *YOUR* computer (implying that the video-card in your computer is failing when warm) or does it happen when connected to *ANY* computer (implying some heat-related problem inside your LCD monitor) ?

If the monitor is still under warranty, exercise the warranty to get it fixed. If the warranty has expired, it's cheaper to buy a new monitor than it would be to repair it.

Hi ravi_kuma108 i have the same problem you described in a similar laptop. did you find a solution or clue about it? I only can guess its a bottom flex-cable connector or top flex-cable connector problem. If you had something you can share i will be apreciated.

Once the 3 months expires for one application, it expires for all applications.

Call DELL. Give them your Service Tag and they will send you a new one, even if the warranty has expired.

Sorry to hear the problem. As a service tech, I've had pretty good luck dealing with Hayward. I'd insist that they replace it. Don't talk to a tech on the phone, ask for a manager and tell them the problem. If they still give you grief tell them that you will make it your sworn duty to tell everyone you know about the kind of service you received. Lesson here is to be aware of the warranty period. All manufacturers and suppliers will hope that you don't and will stall you until the period expires. Sound slike they did a lot to try to help. Unfortunately, this vacuum is worthless. Haven't seen one that has performed the way it is supposed to yet. For you money The Pool Cleaner is a great value at just under $300. Have never had to do any repairs on this vacuum. Zodiac Baracudas are also a good value for slightly more. Only one moving part inside that needs replacing every year or so at $30. Look online as they almost always have a $50-$100 off coupon. Call the stores as well they usually have $5o-$100 off too.
