Question about Samsung SC-L810 Camcorder
When i record on camera, there is no sound on playback. I checked the volume and speaker is on on playback but no sound. I also tried on other camera similiar to mine but there is no sound on tape.
I am seeing a similar problem. i hear 'blips' but mostly silence. mine has worked fine for about 3 years and just started about 2 mths ago. maybe head cleaner?

Have you tried hooking your camera up to your tv with the cord it came with and try to see if it has sound that way? maybe the speakers are blown...and if its not the same recorder it was recorded with sound maybe distorted or and even picture can be too so thats no sure way to know if it worked or not...If your camera is or was new guess its not new anymore its been over a year now since you posted it...but I would of taken it back to the store I bought it from and said hey this dont work fix it or replace it thanks...but since this is so far out I would try hooking it up through the tv and make sure you have the cords hooked up properly to your hookups on your tv or vcr whichever you run it through...and the right channel to view and hear the video...
Another thing I would try is through the menu try to find a setting for sound maybe you had it on something like silent movie type or something...
Thats all I thought of hope it helps.

Tips for a great answer:
May 22, 2011 | Panasonic Lumix® DMC-FS3 Digital Camera
a microphone with computer
To use any microphone with your
computer you will need to enable it in control panel. The following
instructions are for Windows XP but are broadly similar for Vista
Click START, CONTROL PANEL, SOUNDS
& AUDIO DEVICES
In Sounds & Audio Devices
Properties window locate SOUND PLAYBACK box. Click the VOLUME button. Make sure
that there is not a check-mark in the MUTE box against microphone in the list
of devices and that the volume slider is at the top of the scale.
Make sure the MUTE ALL box isn't
checked before closing the window.
Now click the VOLUME button in the
SOUND RECORDING BOX. Here SELECT microphone as an input source for recording
(as opposed to un-checking mute in the playback controls).
NOTE if your microphone
is not listed in the 2 sets of volume controls click OPTIONS, PROPERTIES
on the tool-bar and place a check against microphone in the list
entitled 'show the following volume controls' and then click OK. Same
applies for Internal mic.
That should be it.
To adjust audio volume generally.
Under VOLUME tab adjust Device Volume
as necessary. Also (under Loudpeaker Settings) click Speaker Volume and adjust
slider to suit.
You might put a check mark in the box
to show the volume control on the Task Bar so you can go straight to it to make
adjustments in the future.
