Are you sure battery was charged ? if so , then battery contacts or circuit board may be broken.. but its probably a spark unit( little black box in handle of tool) that has gone bad. fairly easy to replace , but little expensive (60-80 dollars)

SOURCE: impulse gun wont fire and fan doesnt run

could be a bent probe not allowing full travel of the safety , fan motor, loose wire, or circuit assembly. If you are handy with tools, remove the battery and fuel cell. remove the 4 screws holding the cover on top of the cylinder assembly and down where the saety is remove the 2 screws there also. gently pull the cylinder off the tool. when you have apart check toe condition of the Oring on the top plate where the fan motor is. Now reinsert the battery and you will see a rocker switch towards the top, depress it and the fan motor should come on. if not try and depress the trigger switch and again the fan motor should come on. If neither start looking for loose or broken wires, if you find none then I would guess the terminal board would be bad. you can also remove the handle halves and look for a loose connection at the board itself, they sometimes wiggled loose where it plugs in. Good luck and let me know.

SOURCE: i have a paslode framing nail gun, bought a new

I would start with the battery contacts to make sure not corroded or bent, if no light still then you would have to take the handle halves apart and see if you have a loose connection at the curcuit board. Let me know and I will guide you thru how to do this.

Paslode impulse framing nailer won't fire. How do I fix it?

It is more likely to be the solenoid than the 'mother board'.
Do some tests and you will find out which bit is faulty.

Paslode impulse framing nailer , iv cleaned gun and oiled , the fan works etc . seems to only fire if i have fully charged battery ,once used for about five minutes it stops firing . only way to get it...

When it stops firing is the little light on the side of the handle green or red? If it is red then the battery is draining down too quickly. Either the fan switch has malfunctioned causing the fan to run all the time (I have seen this before) or you got either a faulty battery or charger.

Won't fire, green light on, fan works. Fires every once in awhile but not twice. New gun bought years ago, never used much.

Here is a tip that I wrote about the Paslode nailers and the problems that can come up with them.

I also have a link to the Paslode manuals which contain Paslode cleaning and troubleshooting guides.

Paslode battery wont hold charge.brought new battery, same thing.brought new charger, same thing. put battery in gun, fan runs and then the battery is flat again.

if you have bought a new battery and charger , and it still will not hold a charge. you might have bought a bad battery or charger , also the fan dosent allways run so the fan going off is not a sign of a dead battery. depress the trigger or safety and the fan should start up again

have you activated the fuel cell by pressing the black nozzle down onto the cylinder?

Paslode framing nailer loss of power.

Here's what I found at the Paslode Troubleshooting Site:
Tool will not cycle - fan runs, indicator light
is solid green.

Lockout bracket is stuck in lockout position.
Work-contacting element is bent, or build-up of
debris in track restricts operation.
Follower is not behind fasteners.
Fuel Cell empty.
Spark wire out of spark plug.
Spark plug is dirty.
No spark is generated.
Check lockout.

Remove and inspect lower probe. Clean and
lubricate track with Paslode Impulse® oil.
Repair or replace lower probe as required.
Position follower behind fasteners.
Replace fuel cell.
Remove cap and check spark lead, insert in
spark plug and replace cover.
Clean tool cylinder head and spark plug.

If this doesn't work, I suggest contacting Paslode directly 800-222-6990
