Let him take it. It's under warranty. He may need it out so he can access the parts or fasteners that hold the defective parts in place.

SOURCE: Electric Oven doen't heat

cdkd, there should be a TC0, on the back of the oven. Thermal cut out. You want to check to see if it is open. You will have to pull the oven out enough that you can remove the back panel cover and check it. The lower and upper oven should have one. It's a very cheap part to replace. If this TCO fails, no heat. Check this first before buying a new board. Catriver..post back.

SOURCE: F1 error/touch panel not working on GE Monogram Dual Oven

Usually, the F1 means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be canceled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.

I recommend a service call for this repair.

SOURCE: Our GE Profile JTP18 keeps flashing "door lock" since we ran a self clean

most of the time a simple fix.... http://www.geappliances.com/search/fast/infobase/10004586.htm
you have to trick the door lock mech into cycling through the cleaning process (takes about 20 seconds)
Print Range - “LOCKED DOOR” flashes in the display

If “LOCKED DOOR” is flashing in the display of your range or oven, and the self-clean cycle has not been selected, follow the steps below to reset your control:

Motorized Switch

    1. With the door open, locate the door jamb switch on the face of the oven. It will look like a small black post or dowel.
    2. Push it in until the oven cavity light goes off, indicating that the oven believes the door is closed.
    3. While you hold the door jamb switch in this position, complete the following steps.
    4. Press the Clean pad, wait 10 seconds.
    5. When the cycle initiates, press the clear/off or cancel pad immediately to cancel it.
    6. Wait 10 seconds for the display to clear.
    7. The door should unlock and there should not be a need for service.
Manual Switch
    1. Press the Clean pad.
    2. Close the door.
    3. Slide the latch to lock the door.
    4. Hit the cancel button immediately.
    5. Unlock the door.
If the above does not correct the situation, a service technician will need to check your cooking product. To obtain in or out of warranty repair on Major Appliances, you may call 1-800-GE-CARES (800-432-2737) or schedule service online.

SOURCE: I have a GE JTP70, The Plastic over control panel bubbled up.

Mine did the same thing...and believe me it even looks worse over time....look online it happened to a lot of people....GE won't do anything about it....it is a defect but they won't own up to it......They just want you to keep replacing the part, which cost a fortune. Mine oven cost over $1000 and I am stuck with a nasty looking piece of garbage in my brand new kitchen......can't afford to buy a new one.........I Will NEVER BUY ANOTHER GE PRODUCT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My ge monogram oven model number ZET1PH1SS, barely 2 years old, oven light will not turn off

Check that whatever switches the light on and off is making good contact. My GE fridge has a bottle cap glued to the inside of the door, crude but it works. Some are magnetically operated, so you could test with a rare earth magnet.

For a mere $73 you can purchase a new switch.

Total Black screen. The oven has been trouble since I purchased the home. The repair man under warranty was going to put a new brain in it, but didn't because he got it to work for one more short month....

Barbieann,
Yes, you can order the new brain for $429 online at PartSelect dot ca. If you go to to a appliance parts store they will charge more.
I know because I order online all the time. If you or a friend has a Paypal Acct just order. The site is very good. If in the USA, it is dot com
