Then yes, i think you should get a new device. either that, or if you have an extended warranty that would still cover this, you may be able to send it back to the company and get a new one free of charge!

Bought brand new battery and discharging within 48 hrs

hi,
did you charge your battery for at least six hours before using it? New batteries are supposed to be charged for at least six hours before using it. If you didn't charge it, what you should do is boost-charge your battery with a genuine booster for some hours. Unless your battery is a fake, that should do it.
hope this helps

I have toshiba M500 (6-celled battery)as the dealer person told that my laptop will give a minumum backup of 3 hrs but i can't get this much only 2 hrs is given why and is there any problem with my...

No there is no problem in your labtop or your labtop battery.
The life or the time of battery back up depends to what you work in your labtop.
So if you listen to music or watch videos the time of battery backup will be short because listening
to music or watching some videos uses much power to supply the devices of multimedia like the
labtop speakers and the hard drive motor ,in addition to the labtop FAN
All those devices needs more power to run .
But if you dont work in your labtop on any of these are membered and just surf the net or work
in other places the battery backup time will be longer.

I have to reset the country date time etc every time i turn my camera on, i have tried going through menu and reset but this hasn't solved the problem. Please help

There is a built in battery that can keep the time date etc. info for 20 something hrs. without any other source of power. If your camera has a charged battery, is plugged into an active USB or powered by an adapter and you shut it off and then immediately turn it back on again, what happens? If the clock needs to be reset are you sure that you have completed setting the time. After adjusting all the settings you hit set. Most likely it seems that your internal battery is bad. It should charge when the camera is being powered by the main battery. When you say every time you turn it on I'm not sure what that means. If you turn the camera off and remove the battery for more then 30 hrs. it will have to be reset. If that is the case you need to leave a fully charged battery in long enough to charge the built in battery. If the built in battery is bad you will need to find out if it can be replaced.

Cranking and running

Yes, the batteries can go bad like that. On the battery, there should be a date of manufacture. Anything over 4 years, and especially over six need to be replaced. After continuous charge/discharge by the alternator over time, the battery will slowly lose the ability to hold and maintain charge.

Check the cables attached to battery to ensure they are free of corrosion, are tight, and clean. Also once you get running, check the charging system. It should charge via your dash display at least 12.5 to 14 amps. If the needle is not showing positive charging, then the alternator may need to be replaced.

Hope this helps!

Car no longer starts

Check battery terminals make sure they are not corroded and that the are tightly secured. If all is good the battery is at fault. Replace battery and then have charging system checked to make sure the alternator is working fine. Or you can remove the battery and have it load tested a t an Auto_zone for free.

Battery run time

I used this ipod repair guide that shows how to replace the battery on an iPod touch using photos and instructions. The batteries wear out over time, expect about 1.5 years of usage if you recharge your iPod almost every day. Sometimes the batteries have manufacturing defects, in other cases the logic board has an error and drains the battery (ipod touch would get warm, if the latter was the case).
