Question about HP LaserJet 1320 Printer

The icon with the exclamation in the middle is flashing, and

Answer was "to right click the icon".....How do you do that??

    I thought the Icon being referred to was the button on the printer with the exclamation point. I did not see an actual Icon on my computer screen, to do what you are saying???

It means that there is a Ppaper jam. open front cover and see if paper is stuck .if yes open back of printer by pushingg the 2 green levers on left side and right side .push them down then slowly pull out stuck paper.
u will see the orange light sto flashing and u may print now

Put your mouse pointer on the Icon, the with your middle finger only, press down on the right side of the mouse. This will bring up a menu on the Icon.

Replaced ink cartridge, and printer would not print. now we got the printer printing and it won't stop printing the same thing over and over

if it is printing the same document over and over again, probably you hit a couple of times before, all we need to do is to cancel the print queue. first turn off the printer before it prints the next page, or once it finished the doc its printing, remember not to turn it off, in the middle of printing. unplug the usb cable. you did not mention your operating system,
for widows xp, click start->control panel->printers and faxes->right click on the printer icon->cancel all documents, delete the icon: right click on the icon then select delete,
for vista: click start->control panel->switch to classic view (look at the upper left side)) ->printers ->right click on the printer icon->cancel all documents, delete the icon: right click on the icon then select delete,

the icon will disappear but it will come back once you replug the usb cable , so next is to replug the usb cable, tehn try printing

I turned the power to the printer off in the middle of a job and then cancelled it. There is a paper halfway through and the error light is flashing. I cannot print a new job. Janice Simpson the model...


Disconnect the "data" cable between the printer and your computer.
Turn the printer on.
If the light still flashes, you have a "paper jam".
If you cannot "clear" it yourself, take the printer to a qualified technician, for servicing.

On your computer:
Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Printers
Double-click the icon for your printer.
Click on the "suspended" (or "active") print-job, to "select" it.
Right-mouse-click on the print-job, and choose "cancel".

My printer will not print


Hello,
The computer icon is trying to tell you something, all you have to do is right click the icon and open it up or double left click it. Either way the software driver will usually tell you what is causing the problem.

The 4 most common problems are;
1. A paper Jam is present.
2. The ink /toner cartridge is missing or empty.
3. A cover is not closed all the way
4. No paper is in the input paper tray.

Printer offline?


CLICK THE START ICON ON YOUR PC. THEN SETTINGS.THEN PRINTERS AND FAXES. THEN RIGHT CLICK WHICH PRINTER YOU ARE USING THEIR IT WILL SHOW USE PRINTER OF LINE CLICK THAT AND THE TICK MARK ON THAT WILL GO AWAY AND IT WILL BECOME ON LINE.AGAIN RIGHT CLICK ANYWHERE ON THE WHITE SCREEN 3-4 TIMES.IT IS DONE. Problem printing


1) Make sure the printer is turned on but not printing.

NOTE: You cannot clean the print head if the any of the cartridges are expended. Replace the appropriate ink cartridge before proceeding.

2) Load letter size paper.

3) Click on START.

For Windows 95/98/ME: Click SETTINGS, PRINTERS, then RIGHT-CLICK on the EPSON STYLUS PRINTER ICON. Select PROPERTIES from the drop-down menu. Proceed to Step 4.

For Windows 2000: Click SETTINGS, PRINTERS, then RIGHT-CLICK on the EPSON STYLUS PRINTER ICON. Select PRINTING PREFERENCES from the drop-down menu. Proceed to Step 4.
