PS3 Guitar Hero World Tour with a PS2 Guitar

I bought my son a PS3 Guitar Hero World Tour for Christmas. He went to play it, but in the box is a guitar and instructions for the PS2. Are we missing something, or do I just need to take it back to the store because it was all packaged wrong? We need the guitar for a PS3!

That is just so fucked ! I really would advice you to go back to the shop probably its packaged wrong.... Tell your son that the packagers are jerks :) ! I had a ps3 guitar and it worked , at the shop they will give it back directly.
Good Luck!

The guitar hero world tour does not play on my playstatin 2

We had the same problem with Guitar Hero World Tour for PS2. We have an older fat PS2 that would play all of our other games but this one. I tried changing the settings to fast/smooth, changed the diagnostics, still didn't work. Finally, I took The PS2 apart, blew out the dust, cleaned the laser lens with a qtip and rubbing alcohol, dried it gently with a dry q-tip, and the game works!!
