Question about Internet & Communication Software

Virus in firefox browser

Somehow I have a virus which loads an additional page after I have opened a page in fire fox.
The additional page has the following URL:
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:''Table Normal''; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:''''; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:''Times New Roman''; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:''Table Normal''; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:''''; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:''Times New Roman''; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;}http://newbizsol.com/tbredir.php?&sid=a5a1b99c5e507be64b01bf75a2f67c0e.
I have run two virus scans and rebooted prior to the second scan.
Has anyone seen a similar to this from newbizsol.com.
Can not find anything about it in various KB's.
Thank you in advance for any help that you may have.

I have the same virus / malware. My home page settings are fine, but every couple minutes another browser opens up to that newbizsol.com website. AVG 8.0, Symantec, and Spyware Doctor all have been run with no effect. Anyone else encounter this and find a fix for it?
Also, it may be the same virus or another one, but I also sometimes get a false "virus warning" screen that changes my desktop, and opens a fake virus scan on me..

Check you "Home Page" under Tools | Options. Firefox allows you to set multiple home pages, separated by a pipe like this: |

So, you could have the following in the Home Page field:
http://www.google.com | http://www.ibm.com

Thereafter, whenever you open your home page, you'll get an extra window with the second URL opened. It sounds like you may have gotten some junk in there. In the case of my example above, you'd see Google open and a new tab with IBM.

Dave,
I'd recommend backing up your shortcuts, and taking note of all your firefox addons, and then removing firefox completely, rebooting, and open IE to see if it affects IE. Then reinstall firefox and check it out. If that doesn't fix it... do a system restore to a known date when the system worked fine.
good luck,

How do i refreash my browser

Hi,
The best way for you may be to Google "Refresh FireFox Browser". That page gives all the ways to do it according to what system you are running.
Mine has a blue C with a arrow on my Fire Fox tool bar,
All I do is click that.
Good Luck,
Wayne

Problem in closing internet explorer page

Most probably It is a virus. Try Running a virus scan with an anti-virus. The Best way to that would be to do it by starting your computer in safe-mode(Keep pressing the F8 key while the PC is booting)

An Additional tip: Start Using Mozilla Firefox browser (latest version 3.0). It is faster, safer, crash free & has many more additional features the Internet Explorer.
