Re: mp3 say initalizing
Plug it to the computer hold down the power button on the mp3 player for 10 seconds. Go to the RCA web site and download the firmware. Keep it plug into the computer and install the firmware. Should work like new.

Connect ur device to your computer through a usb cable. If your device shall be detected as a portable Hard disk drive. You can see that by checking My computer.OR you can start the windows media player, once you have connected your device to laptop/ computer. It shall automatically give you an option to sync music
If it get **** on initalizing you can hold the power button for 15 to 20 seconds and it should work. If that don't work plug it into the usb and then 3 mins later take it out and try to boot it up again. Let me know if that helps. Mine did the same thing.
Best Solution!!! I called tech support (866-823-1671 - very nice/helpful) because my daughter's was doing the same thing. I was told to let the song start to play, press the M button during the song, choose 'Repeat' which will bring up a list of options and then choose 'Normal'. It worked.
